Discussion: Reports: Obama Takes $400K Fee To Speak At Investment Bank's Conference

No.

And even if Bernie had been elected president, they’d be calling him a sell out, a disappointment, and a new-conservative shill on Jan. 20th.

Good grief you are just pitiful.

HRC lost the Electoral College because she gave speeches to Goldman Sachs.

Rump won and now Goldman Sachs is literally writing legislation.

Obama was the candidate we needed in 2008 to take on the mess dubya left behind and he did in fact reverse much of what was left in tatters. McCain didn’t understand economics at all, only understood war making and was next in line among the R party to be nominated but not on his merits. R Money was all about corporate greed as is PP, so where does the evil part come in.

I know - sometimes I wish they had gotten what they wished for just to see it all come crashing down once Reality took over, like it is taking Trump over.

Do these idiots really believe we’re going to be able to walk into the financial equivalent of a nuclear war with slingshots and have any hope of taking back power? And how much do you wanna bet the people whining about Obama taking big money are the same asshats bitching that the DNC didn’t do enough to financially support X candidate?

Of all the things I give no fucks about, this is one. Obama, Bush, Clinton, fucking Zombie Reagan. Who gives a shit how much they’re worth when they leave office. I’m happy a bunch of bankers want to listen to what Obama has to say on the topic of healthcare.

I would bet that you are totally right about that. Consistency doesn’t seem to hobnob with their goblin minds.

No kidding.

They placed all sorts of unrealistic expectations on Obama, and when he failed to Bagger Vance the country into a liberal utopia, they turned on him…

Same thing they’d have done to Bernie.

Shit I’m happy they want to hear from any Democrat.

The people who think this hurts the Democrats are determined to hate on the Democrats since the other way to look at this is that it is bankers hearing from the party that they as a rule do not support.

In a heartbeat. During the campaign they turned instantly on every single Progressive hero this country has still alive - John Lewis, Elizabeth Warren, Gloria Steinem, etc etc etc

And my last word: If you’re “troubled that the current occupant is paid by plutocrats who then get their wishes” but are not troubled that under Obama, and despite his accomplishments, the America worker experienced the greatest transfer of wealth in its history from the middle-class to the wealthiest of Americans.

Yes I know, the banks were too big to fail and too big to jail. Of course our own Civil War and Great Depression can’t compare to taking on the banks. No way.

I think the media is giddy to go after anybody. That’s what the tone since Trump has brought me to believe. Politicians in national media are just like stars, and everybody knows that scandalous news is way more interesting than good news or, god forbid, dull facts about numbers and stuff.

P.S. I just came here because I was happy to see Obama in the headlines instead of someone awful, or someone good pointing out something awful =)

It’s almost day 100 and he didn’t repeal rich people and replace them with poor people. I’m so disappointed! (Runs out of the room scream crying)

No chance of that. In Purity Pony City, Bernie can never fail – he can only BE FAILED.
