He will answer only in charades.

Imagine if Hillary had demanded that deal.

It’ll be interesting to see whether Wyden & Harris get the chance to run-wild. If they do, Don-Don is toast.

“I plead the 5th” for two-four hours in mid-June.

What is this “striking a deal” bullshit?

The Senate sends a subpoena, you show up and testify. Period!
They are weakening the rule of law by letting people bargain it away! Insanity!

I guess other posters were right, it might all be just for show after all.

Will it be televised?

I’d like to know how to get in on that racket.

What exactly is ratface’s position right now?

Basically bullshit. He doesn’t make a deal if the tough questions are included. Why would he? This way they limit his exposure to these two sessions and these five topics. They can’t go where his answers or non-answers lead them. Silly negotiation.

Witnesses should not be allowed to make deals especially when they weren’t truthful. There should be a criminal referral made for lying to Congress, period. He shouldn’t get a do-over and the topics should not be limited.

I am a little mad about this. It does not seem right. Does the NYT list the five topics?

Also from @pluckyinky:
Shoot, I’ve had job interviews that lasted much longer than that.

They won’t. Especially Harris. Gee, these Trumps aren’t SNOWFLAKES or anything, are they? They’re all innocent but none will talk, and moreover, asking them to talk is an OUTRAGE.

And grunts.

Will he be able to bring his comfort ferret?

He’s gonna wear his Depends. Just in case.

I am a purist in this regard. The only sounds permissible in Charades are those made directly by the action, like stomping or clapping hands.

“Under the agreement, according to the Times, Trump Jr. will speak to the committee for two-four hours in mid-June. The scope has been limited to five topics, according to the Hill. The June appearance will also be the last time Trump Jr. is asked to speak to the committee, under the agreement, as reported by CNN.”

Don jr a citizen setting terms for a congressional hearing. The history books will be very interesting when it writes about the Trump administration.
