And whoever they replace her with will also be vilified by the Sanders team, but it may be a necessary evil to placate some of his supporters.
I donât think she should be re-appointed after her term, weâve lost a lot of local & state races under her leadership, I donât feel sheâs done a great job. But I donât want to see her sacrificed to the howling cry babies in the Sanders campaign, because ⌠fuck them, theyâre a bunch of howling cry babies and this would only encourage them.
Iâm no fan of DWS, but replacing her now would be a public relations nightmare for the Democrats and a gift to Trump.
She needs to goâright after the election.
Her role at the convention can be altered if necessary to assuage the hurt feelings of those delicate souls in the failed Bernie campaign.
Get â50 Stateâ Howard Dean back .
Or a least someone who has a clue, the cajones and knows how to help the down tickets with credible candidates.
I live in Florida .
Rick Scott? As popular as Ebola and he wins two terms .
Thanks DWS
Who cares if Sanders supporters will âgo nuts?â The small minority of them that go nuts about everything will go nuts about whatever is done about her and anything else, so thereâs no point in ousting her right now. The rational thing to do is replace her once her term is up, not capitulate to the people who wonât be placated by it anyway because theyâll find something else to yell about.
Sanders supporters would go nuts
Who could tell?
This is the price Sanders will extract for supporting HRC during the campaign.
You may very well be right.
And t his would do WHAT??? Give in to the rabid Bernie supporters who somehow âblameâ DWS for every little thing wrong with their campaign?
But only if he gets to name her successor, and he is given bendy straws for his most fanatical disciples.
âThere have been a lot of meetings over the past 48 hours about what color plate do we deliver Debbie Wasserman Schultzâs head on,â a Democratic senator who backs Hillary Clinton said.
Yes. Letâs use violent imagery of beheading someone when talking about firing them from their job. Way to stay classy, Dems!
I am always swayed by the conventional wisdom of anonymous sources â especially as reported by a fine liberal source such as The Hill â so mark me down as convinced.
I will be very surprised if he supports her during the campaign in any substantive way.
Bernie has no history of helping other candidates.
geez h christâŚhow much more appeasement the Sanders Snowflakes is going to be giving here
From Observer.com, 1/2115 :
âHer leadership led to catastrophic losses for the Democrats during the 2014 midterm elections. She directly assisted in losses by refusing to support three Democrats, Miami-Dade Democratic Party chair Joe Garcia, former Hialeah Mayor Raul Martinez and businesswoman Annette Taddeo, who were challenging Republican Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart, Lincoln Diaz-Balart and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, because she is friends with her Republican colleagues.â
Seems like a decent bone to throw to Bernie. See ya, Debs.
well I guess if you canât beat Clinton you can take out one of her surrogates before the generalâŚyah thatâs brilliant.
The senator also said âSanders supporters would go nutsâ if Wasserman Schultz was allowed to continue and that about a dozen lawmakers have talked about the prospect behind closed doors.
âMark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and theyâre sure trying to do so, itâs going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they canât and wonât compromise. I know, Iâve tried to deal with them.â ~ Barry Goldwater
I think he is genuinely frightened (as should we all be) of a Trump presidency.
Some things might just transcend internecine squabbling.
At this point, I wouldnât be at all surprised if Bernie throws his hands up in the air, wags his fingers at us and say, âFuck you!â Seriously. Wouldnât be disappointed, either, because Iâm expecting zilch from the man. If he says anything remotely positive, itâll be âWell, yeah, we gotta stop Donald Trump,â nothing about Hillaryâs strong points, etc., because heâs made it crystal clear he doesnât think Hillary is qualified to be POTUS.
