Discussion for article #246629
Welp, guns at school brought to you by the NRA and the GOP. Just sayin’.
This is very close to where I grew up and still own property.
Donald Trump has committed on day one to decree there will be no schools that can exclude guns on their property.
BURLINGTON, Vt. — Donald Trump said Thursday that he wants to eliminate gun-free zones at schools.
"***I will get rid of gun-free zones on schools***, and — you have to — and on military bases," Trump said, to scattered cheers during a campaign rally on Thursday night. "***My first day, it gets signed,*** okay? My first day. **There's no more gun-free zones**."

These kind of things need to stop. Enough of gun-free criminal inviting schools. We should let all law-abiding high schoolers carry gun. Worse thing it can happen is a bit grade inflation.
Move along…nothing to see here, folks. This is just the MSM overreacting to these kids getting their civics lessons on the 2nd Amendment.
Their homework assignment: survive their wounds.
Well, they should have gone to church to be safe–OH WAIT.
“let’s see, Kansas, Washington State…”
Was it two or three shootings last week?
edit: it was seven mass shootings last week.

i forgot about that.
thank you.
New high school course brought to a school near you by the NRA:
if nobody has a gun it’s a hard thing to shoot someone. That seems to be a difficult concept for some. Why arm high schoolers? Do they have some special way to control their emotions if packing heat? Who needs a gun in a classroom?
Now it’s every day, no let up, no recess, just another day in the shooting gallery that is America.
It’s the position of the Republican Party a well armed populous creates a safe environment. It discourages armed thugs and criminals from preying upon citizens. Everybody in Hom, Syria has a gun, access to a gun, someone living with them that has a gun. They could speak to the GOP position on gun access and ownership.
This is what used to be John Boehner country. They are definitely far more concerned about the gun which will be vigorously defended in the coming days.
OK, John Kasich. Time to defend the 2nd Amendment again. Just temporarily remove Wayne La Pierre’s balls from your throat, make your speech, and then continue your hilariously futile quest for the American presidency.
It’s a good thing that mass shootings don’t happen very often in this country, otherwise people might think we have a problem.
Injuries makes the NRA sad. If people had been killed, there would be more media coverage, which is what the NRA wants. They may not say it, but they have no problem when people are killed with a gun, the more the better to feed their thirst.
That “Shining City on a Hill.”
What in the name of God is happening in this country?
It’s February, still just February, and I’ve already lost count of the mass shootings. Is it simply a matter of all the fear and hate and rage of the most febrile presidential election since 1860 infecting society generally and setting off the already-crazy? Is it just a statistical anomaly? Can the two even be distinguished?
Or is this just the pace of slaughter we can expect from here on out now that it’s Wayne LaPierre’s America and Liberty and armed politeness now reign supreme in state after state?
“What in the name of God is happening in this country?”
Ummm…have you seen Obama’s “tan”?
oh and +10 for use of “febrile”…damn great vocab word choice for politics rants, especially with the usual “seizure” following it…definitely adding that to my daily lexicon lol
Yes, but they’re brown. What the GOP says will work if we can make sure this country is only white people.
I kid you not: I believe they really think that and could probably be tripped up into saying it.
