One can only imagine the staff meeting at FOX when they decided to put the worst possible spin on this story.
Point of clarification, he was 38 when they married, 30 when he was cruising kiddie dance recitals for dates and first saw his 15 year old future wife. Still a sick fucker.
I figured all along that the printed date and location following the cursive message in the year book were added later and were probably not written by Moore. So what? It’s much harder to forge another person’s cursive writing style than it is to mimic how someone else write printed text.
Legal documents always require a signature to be written in cursive precisely because it’s more difficult to forge than a name printed in block letters. What’s more, the entire message in Nelson’s yearbook was written in the same cursive style as Moore’s signature, making it even more difficult to forge convincingly than a signature alone. And it’s the cursive message, which matches other samples of Moore’s handwriting, that’s creepy.
People who pretend the printed notes prove the message is a forgery just because he didn’t write the date and location would still say it was a forgery even if those notes were also written in Moore’s handwriting style. They’re just lying to themselves in order to justify their vote for this pious pervert.

Also the yearbook should have immediately been presented to the FBI or another recognized expert institution for ink analysis, etc. for an incontrovertible date.
This should have been known from the get go.
