It was totally fair and he never once thought about it.
The reporter definitely “threw a Rod” by asking him legitimate questions…
He said, paraphrasing, that Blum had responded with something to the effect of, “Well, you know, all Republicans are evil, right?”
We already know that. It’s just a matter of getting the press to finally report it.
Don’t bother to spend any time or money redecorating your office, Congressman. You’ll be vacating it soon enough.
RUN AWAY
You begin to grasp just how really stupid some of these Reps are
Had he answered the question with a simple yes or no would anyone outside the 3 people watching that newscast have even noticed the interview
Even if he gave a standard RW dumb answer no one would have noticed.
Now the whole world is watching and money will pour in to defeat him in the next election.
Smooth move Sherlock
What a pleasure seeing a reporter actually do the work of journalism and ask an elected official tough (and completely fair) questions. Also a pleasure to see Blum squirm and storm off after realizing his small human shields would not protect him.
The beauty of the event was that the local news station ran it in its entirety, start to finish, so that the voting public could watch the temper tantrum play out as it happened.
And playing “one of these things is not like the other”, was there a reason white man Blum surrounded himself exclusively with African American children?
Reporters do not have to defend their questions as being “fair.” They have a First Amendment right to ask them. Politicians have a civic responsibility to answer them. We do not want to be in a country where journalists have to demonstrate some sort of subjective “fairness” (i.e. boot-licking) to be let in the door.
And back at Trump Security HQ, an alarm sounds.
He said, paraphrasing, that Blum had responded with something to the effect of, “Well, you know, all Republicans are evil, right?”
yes… and you don’t become less evil by trying to associate yourself with innocents… innocence isn’t transferable by association or contact like cooties…
He must have imported them from Chicago.
“Well, you know, all Republicans are evil, right?”
Partly true, Rep. Blum. However, a large portion are merely stupid.
This turd of a Congressman appears to have attempted to set young Scheinblum up but, in typical GOP turd fashion, overplayed the drama while scaring the set-piece children his staff grouped around him in the hopes of portraying the reporter as the baddie. Turnabout is fair play…
Best wishes to young Scheinblum!
A. The story on this from KCRG-TV is that Scheinblum had been trying to get an interview with Blum for some time, and the Representative’s office finally said yes, and suggested they do it a the community center. Blum thought (hoped actually, unilaterally) that the thrust of the interview would be his involvement with the center. Scheinblum saw the location as incidental to his ongoing request for a one-on-one. Bottom line: Blum and his office tried to control/hijack the interview and it didn’t work.
B. As a public servant Blum displayed zero concern for the message he delivered by walking out, and so quickly, to the kids who were present. Nice civics lesson Representative Blum, you big baby. (apologies to babies)
“Bravely ran Sir Robin, Sir Robin ran away…” (Sir Rod-in?)
I think that at some level people like Blum know they’re behaving in ways that will leave them burning in hell for eternity if there is a hell. And that knowledge takes a constant toll on their emotional state, so that they’re unable to handle even minor setbacks.
He said, paraphrasing, that Blum had responded with something to the effect of, “Well, you know, all Republicans are evil, right?”
Please, please, please tell me you got that on tape!!!
Blum’s such a defensive baby. The sarcastic, woe-is-me “well, all republicans are evil, right, you scummy liberal media member” attitude he shows here just reveals what a nervous Nelly he has become and how defending trump has got him in a twitchy, combative mood. Good. I’d love to see “my” congressman become the face of GOP house incompetence, but Labrador keeps talking out loud, so…
