Discussion: Reporter Among Those Surprised To Learn They Are NH Trump Town Chairs

Discussion for article #244219

…everyone on the list we made public submitted their support and acceptance of this voluntary leadership position in writing…

And I’m sure you’ll be providing copies of those written pledges to the media. Real soon now. Right?

Well, heck, we’re a small state. Sometimes we have to double-up on our jobs. I personally am a Trump town chair, a Clinton county leader, a Jeb! state convention delegate, and the brother-in-law of Bernie Sanders.

Good Grief … not only is the candidate “truth challenged” but it obviously percolates down to the minions of his campaign staff. Obviously birds of a feather do flock together. However, I’m sure that just like the fake Hawaiian birth certificate (I hear the “investigators” are still drinking Mai Tais around the Hilton Hawaiian Village Pool) they will magically show us those signed agreements to become town chairpersons.

Low life press.

The reporter will be outed as “a terrible person, a disgusting sleezebag” in 3…2…1…

Trump will say or do anything without fear of repercussions from his base. Just look at how he’s trashed the media repeatedly while at the same time using them to generate at least $500M in free publicity. His supporters are too dumbstruck to realize he’s been playing them all along. Trump spent so much time denigrating the media in order to be certain they never believe anything negative written or said about him despite having blatant proof in video.

Forget the Presidency, Trump doesn’t have the maturity level to be a middle school class president.

Telling the truth about Trump is a public service and unfortunately hasn’t happened frequently enough. It’s long past time for this clown to get off the stage. He never says anything substantive regarding policy, just talks about his polls and spends the majority of the time proclaiming how wonderful he thinks he is. How sad that we have so many shallow-minded people in this country who fell for his b.s.

If Trump winds up being the GOP candidate, a lot of us would be surprised to learn that we somehow “voted” for him in the general election…especially in Ohio.

There are many people that still don’t know they voted for Bush in 2004.

At least Oprah gave cars away. All you get from Trump is some lousy town chairmanship.

Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks told Politico that “everyone on the list we made public submitted their support and acceptance of this voluntary leadership position in writing.”

Well, then, just like the videos of newscasts showing thousands of cheering Muslims on 9/11, I’m sure you’ll produce said evidence. Right?

So far Trumpet has been deemed by the media to be a serious presidential contender through favorable polls alone and because there have been so many polls this year, they become less and less accurate. He’s as bad a campaigner as Jeb*, but chutzpah has carried him along and it won’t last much longer…

Yeah, but it’s the yuuugggest, most prestigious town chairmanships ever!

but who is there to bring that truth… the media is completely loathed and distrusted by his followers; any efforts by the gop poobahs only deepens the trump supporters determination. he’s offered fuckall details about his policies other than one sentence soundbites; and any actual look at what he has proposed re taxation reveals how it benefits his 1% crowd. and the supporters are impervious to facts; they love him because he’s vulgar and never apologizes.

"We’re going to see…With kids and grandkids and all this, it’s kind of hectic. . . . We’ll look into it. If our time is available, then yeah, maybe we’ll do it. Maybe. We’ll have to see.”
– Trump supporter, on whether they will actual go to the polls to vote for Trump

All this is yet another indication of just how poor is the Trump campaign’s ground organization. There have already been a few writers who have suggested that Trump’s unwillingness to spend money on in-house polling and on setting up a coherent turn-out-the-vote strategy in Iowa and elsewhere are a sort of poison pill. He may get five thousand people to come to a rally and listen to him rant for an hour or so, but there seems to be less and less evidence that those rally attendees have any actual interest in voting… and worse, no evidence that Trump has any plan to get them to the polls.

and the whole caucus thing in iowa is far too demanding in terms of time/energy, and he’s bringing a new constituency who aren’t at all familiar with the process. so it’s likely iowa will go to cruz…
