They’re gonna need a bigger spreadsheet.
How about Wilbur Ross? Probably could go ahead and add that crook to the list.
This list should be in Democratic campaign ads around the country as things the Republicans think are worth investigating but are stonewalling for partisan gain.
Oh, you mean like actual Congressional oversight of the Executive Branch as laid out in the Constitution?
I can’t believe that a GOP talking point for the midterms is “if Democrats win, they will investigate and expose the president’s criminal wrongdoing.” Never mind, I can believe it.
Hmmm. Remarkably, this is a list of probes the GOPers would currently being conducting if they took their constitutional oversight responsibilities seriously.
Sleep tight, you bastards. We’re coming.
You mean Wilbur “middleman for Russian money laundering” Ross?
Shorter GOP Spreadsheet: “It’s brown trousers time.”
Any congressperson who took the oath to defend the Constitution should investigate these issues.
It’s a start.
If they’d even paid lip service to a handful of the things on the list, and pretended to do any part of their actual job, they’d have substantially less reason to be scared. Wonder if they’ll ever realize that?
Doesn’t that list pretty much cover the entirety of the Trump presidency? It seems to me to be just about everything.
That’s a fine list.
Every single one being a necessary investigation shoved into non-being by a complicitous Republican Congress in its refusal to be a co-equal branch and check upon an unruly corrupt Executive.
As someone from New Zealand, it is so utterly dumbfounding that elected representatives would turn a blind eye to the kind of corruption that the Trump regime is exhibiting.
For the sake of the world, I really hope there is a massive blue wave in November.
The GOP is gonna need a bigger barrel.
If they had an ounce of integrity, they’d be much much more concerned with what those investigations will eventually reveal than the fact they will be conducted.
No wonder they cheat and steal like hell to hold on to the majority.
I’m old enough to remember when Darrell Issa harassed the Obama Administration with numerous frivolous investigations. I didn’t hear Republicans complaining then.
ETA: The list of investigations the Dems could potentially launch would not be frivolous, but necessary for this country to regain its footing and if the term “rule of law” is to have any real meaning.
What is it Republicans always say about investigations and law enforcement actions? Oh, yeah — “If you’ve done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.” Let’s put that to the test, bigly.
My fervent wish is that the first legislative action the new Democratic House takes up is the “Tick Tock, Motherfuckers” bill.
