Discussion: Report: White House Banned New Interim Security Clearances In November

Well, that was bold and effective step!

I assume this is the typical Cadet Bone Spurs sleight of hand, trying to change the narrative through smoke and mirrors.

No “new” interim security clearances does NOT mean that the old interim ones won’t get extended indefinitely…

Of course not. Jared is such a great asset to the WH!

How does Trump get away with blaming everyone else for leaking our nation’s secrets when in fact he and his administration are the problem! Trump has so many people in the White House that failed to clear the FBI background checks that is this was a youth soccer team, officials (police) would be called to shut down the soccer club for having so many “molesters and abusers”!

Birds of a feather flock together: Trump hires the best rapists, the best racists, the best pedophiles, and the best tax cheats!

You want to see a swamp of corruption…look no further than Donnie Trump and his regime.

These people are big time security risks who should be shown the door now. Especially Kush-Kush.

That… but… that doesn’t fucking work

Interim clearances are an unfortunate but necessary bit of slop in the system to allow those in the most critical possible role to start working immediately. The trust in the process is, at least in theory, outweighed by the overwhelmingly good judgement (lololololol) of the man or woman who sits in the highest of chairs.

What this means in practice is that key actors in the highest echelons of the executive branch cannot be replaced except by someone who already holds an active clearance at whatever crazy TS/SCI is required, and if you pluck one of those from whatever sensitive role they currently occupy, they in turn cannot be replaced.

I cannot wait for the smarmy smile to be wiped off of the face of that little pisher Jared Kushner.

We really need to have canidates run through security checks before they can run for political office, especially high level like president. The reason we have all these shits in here now is because they worked with/for a shit like Donald.

Edit: To that point was there any type of security check done of Donald or Clinton, especially after the election?

It’s interesting that this is being spun as totally the fault of Kelly. The WH is a snake infested swamp, and the person who ran for office as the greatest manager ever is responsible. If he hired incompetent people who hired unclearable people it’s his fault.
MSNBC can blame Kelly, but a real leader would take responsibility. In the Oval Office, the buck stops somewhere else.

These people and their defenders (even the ones who aren’t Russian bots and trolls), are, of course, the same ones who still insist Hillary should be in prison because she discussed a newspaper article about our super-secret drone program and “let” someone send her a cable about a discussion with the president of the all-important nation of Malawi by email.

Nothing that has ever happened in Donald J. Trump’s entire life has ever been the fault of Donald J. Trump. Never. Not once. Believe me.

Locking the henhouse AFTER the fox is inside? That’s effective.

Well now we get to see Chairman Gowdy in action again. He wants to investigate the FBI on when they sent the info and to who did they send the info. Will Nunes step up his chicanery? Will he top his running to WH moment? Have we seen dueling Chairmen before?
