Discussion: Report: WH Set Up Off Record Briefing With Porter After Ex-Wife's Photo Posted

It was never up for debate whether this administration was lying or telling the truth about any matter, so that doesn’t interest me. But I do have one question:

What could he

POSSIBLY

have said?

Because, you know, if you spin it right, beating up your wife isn’t a really big deal. You just have to get ahead of these stories to win the News Cycle.

And, have some sympathy for Drumph’s White Hole House, Porter was, when he wasn’t beating up women, apparently competent at his job, (as measured by this collection of morons), so, losing him means they likely don’t have anyone who can type.

Up until now it has been assumed that the People occupying the White House had regardless of political party, the best interests of the country at heart and would at least do their upmost for the security of the nation.
That all changed on Jan 20th 2017
This collection of grifters thieves and unqualified boobs have put the country at risk by actively working with a foreign power against the interests of the United states .
It was always assumed as in the military people handling classified materials would have a security clearance .
That went out the window with Trump
In a time where the President, if he were applying for a position, would not get a security clearance and he has numerous people on his staff without that clearance it is past time that laws were laid down that no one without a security clearance gets to handle classified documents.
We need something to protect the American people

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders arranged for Porter to tell his side of the story to the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman, the Washington Post’s Josh Dawsey, Axios’ Jonathan Swan, and the Wall Street Journal’s Michael Bender, Politico.

Does the four reporters have any comments ? even if Porter is “Off Record” the CoS is not, right ? What did he know when ?

ETTD…

You’re right, and you’re not the only one who thinks so.

As with misbehaving children and teenagers , you need strict guidelines for them to follow lest they get themselves in a world of trouble through stupidity

Since they are only concerned about maintaining support from the base, we can assume that he pulled out his dog whistle and said the NYTimes approved version of “bitch deserved it.”

The New York Times, the Washington Post, Axios, the Wall Street Journal and Politico were willing to take an off the record briefing?? Off the record briefings are a thing now? WTF?.

Well, we’ll never know because it was off the record. I hope the reporters at least scored a cheese Danish and a cup of coffee.

Off the record with Maggie Haberman…what did she know and when did she know it?

Actually there’s nothing wrong or unusual, at least in pre-Trump Washington, with reporters talking to sources under a variety of arrangements for how the information can be used and attributed. Remember Deep Throat? That name was a joke based on the term “deep background,” a form of non-attributed information from a source. Hypothetically, the source might feel a compelling explanation of a situation could be made using information that’s sensitive for whatever reason. So he or she makes that explanation to a reporter off the record, which technically means it can’t be published at all, knowing that if the reporter finds it believable it might be possible to get it verified in other ways and publish it that way.

But it assumes a level of trust between both parties. I would not believe a word this administration says. But I’d still go hear what they had to say, off the record or not. It would malpractice not to.

Did you believe any of this in January 2001?

Someone should ask her why these publications were chosen.

You are right .
An abuser abet with security clearances

He said the vase did it. Worked with Kelly didn’t it?

What is most telling about this is that none of the four reporters reported that the WH had set up this meeting. They knew that Kelly was lying but let their fellow reporters–including from their own organizations–question SHS and Sunday show guests without that info. They aided and abetted.

Vases are like pit bulls–perfectly safe if they’re trained and handled correctly. Seriously I think Kelly is short on allies and closed his eyes to the whole thing, not much caring really. He’s a piece of shit and I’m not inclined to thank him for his damn service.
