The article did note a few promising signs for Trump’s field operation in Iowa, including large rally attendance numbers.
Ugh. Rump and his minions must think that the large rallies are indicative of how much people really want him to run the country as opposed to just wanting to be part of some ongoing reality mashup. If that volunteer managed to convince 12 people to participate in the caucus BUT he can’t tell if they’ll vote for Rump, that’s a good sign no one in his camp really knows what’s going on.

The true state of Trump’s ground game is a mystery. There is this article and one earlier one from…NY Times maybe…that seemed to think it was a mess. There’s also been a number of articles saying he had a surprisingly good operation. The people leading his Iowa org are the same people who won for Santorum and Huckabee.
Will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Only one 9/11 truther??? That would be the bigger surprise. I’m sure there’s a whole lot more than just this one…and every other kind of fringe fanatic loon they can corral or fold into their campaign.
I’d guess not only does trump believe a lot of wild ass shit, that he has plenty of people working for him that believe even wilder shit and he has no handle or clue about any of it. God can you imagine how screwed up this country will get if he’s president…that’s a scary fucking thought…
We can only wait to see what happens in Iowa, but one thing is known. Politics and business are distinctly different. This is one area where I believe political experience is a huge benefit. People that have experience running for office know that all politics is local and rallying the local support, callers, door knockers and volunteers and super committed activists is what counts. Obama knew that and Sanders knows that, and if Hillary wants to stay in the game she needs to gin up a lot more enthusiasm. What Hillary has going for her is she attracks older voters than Bernie and we all know that older voters are more reliable voters on caucus day and election day.
Heaven help him if there is a monster truck rally or a wrestling match on the same day.
