Jeezis Gaud. This is the kind of thing you see teenage girls doing when they’ve got a crush on someone: first fantasize about the love-object’s crystalline motivations, become convinced of the perfection of his intent, and then over-identify with his imagined pain when his dream is crushed…

It’s erotomania. This is delusion of a particularly pathetic kind.

But when it comes to long term support for the love object, I have to admit it probably holds up better than a lot of other dissociations from reality. Romantic imagination is the most fulsome kind.

I wish it was more like Heaven’s Gate - definitely with those goofy white supremacist haircuts

Having worked with psychiatrists at a clinic, I can tell you they are as flawed and tiresome as the rest of us.

The rest of us may be distracted by many things, but team Mueller is not.

Why is it that the fattest, most tattooed goober in these pics always has his shirt off? Disgusting.

Hey, what about Cohen?

I acknowledged Ivanka. I think she bites anyone else who wants in.

Yeah, okay - I’ll give you that one. About now Mikey’s looking like the rescue dog you had to send back to the pound because the owner dumped him. SAD!

He really does expect “My People” to be as depraved and deplorable as he is. The Senility-in-Chief is in complete free fall.

Trump’s government is of the deplorables, by the deplorables, and for the deplorables.

May it soon perish from this earth.

He does. According to the NYT 90% of republicans approve him, even as they disagreed with a lot of things… they just can’t quit him… Owned!

Still, it’s strange that he doesn’t understand that he’s supposedly president of the entire country. Imagine if President Obama had said, “My people love it.” That would not be interpreted as all Democrats who voted for him. People’s heads would explode if Obama had said that.

The beard is ugly and distracting, but you left off the funniest part: He said Anthony Scaramucci has no danger of getting Alzheimer’s because he has no brain!

The resilience and growth of Trump fanaticism is a big point. The tactical question for Democrats isn’t how to change GOP minds but how to introduce sufficient ambivalence to depress turnout in November. Heaping (well-earned) abuse on iconic Trumpist figures like Lewandowski, Huckabee or Nielsen isn’t going to achieve that. If anything, it will reduce the argument to purely tribal terms, which is precisely what Trump wants. Dems have to find a way–and there’s lots of time before November, of course–to step away from the fray and focus on delivering the terrible news about the GOP’s program to dismantle health insurance, Medicare, Social Security; and to start talking about how mediocre the economy is and how the tax cuts for billionaires are bankrupting the country. Our own base is stoked enough at this point. Enough with the food fights. Time to attack the GOP and Trump on the issues that are their worst nightmare.

It has just occurred to me now that Trump is running multiple cons concurrently. In order to do that there has to be some master con artist that understands and coordinates all these individual cons. That can only be Trump (not Putin). That makes Trump a genius.

Trump once said that he has a very good brain, a very high IQ. He said it to

(1) the base;
(2) moderate Republicans;
(3) the non-government media outlets;
(4) us;
(5) Democrats;
(6) Mueller, Putin, and the IC (ours and theirs);
(7) judges, our intelligence community, the justice system, and other
constitutional institutions.

Each of these groups has a consistent way to interpret and react to any particular Trump statement or action, no group in a way that contradicts what any subset of other groups knows about it. Only Trump himself could pull this off.

We can apply the same analysis to “No collusion, no collusion, absolutely no collusion.”

Hence Trump is a fairly stable genius. //

N.B: We should probably just limit this insight to (4), or any group that completely understands (4).
