Discussion: Report: Trump Told Advisers 'My People Love' The Family Separation Policy

They’re trying to pick their voters (who can vote), so i guess he thinks he can fire anyone who won’t vote for him.

Is it too hard to say “You can’t come across?”

The Trump, Miller, Sessions criminal program here is simple sadism toward children, in plain view.

Trump really is a despicable Nazi, and those who work in his administrations are all “Good Germans”. Remember how the Nuremberg Trials ended?

Good for him. As with the restaurant incidents too, decent people need to start treating these folks as the pariahs they should be.

I read it that way too … as opposed to what he meant when he said North Koreans sit up and listen to Kim Jong Un “and I want my people to do the same.” Then he meant everybody, and everything that goes along with it.

He also backtracked later by saying he was kidding, which of course he never does. There’s no question he fantasizes every moment about the day when “my people” as used today become “my people” as used then. He will hold that delusion to the day he dies in prison.

So now we know for sure. Trump thinks of neo-Nazis and white separatists when he thinks of his people.

I take him at his word. “His People” are the 20% true believers and assorted camp followers and malcontents. However, they, and their demons, psychoses, and self-centered ideologies do not represent and do not speak for the vast percentage of Americans. Unfortunately, he is their president and not our president.

In some ways that isn’t so damn unfortunate.

When discussing gun control, if you call these guns “assault rifles”, these assholes will say, “It’s not an assault rifle! It’s not a military weapon and can’t fire automatically! You don’t know what you’re talking about!”.But then they like to play GI Joe with their camo uniform and accessories. If the gun doesn’t look like a military weapon, if it doesn’t function like a military weapon, then they won’t buy it. They want to look the part of a soldier and they want a soldier’s toys. They give themselves a mission, a reason to dress up and play with their semiautomatic penises. These fucknuts are living a fantasy and are extremely dangerous.

People make money selling them that fantasy—money on the weapons, money on the ideology. It’s like patent medicines before 1906 and the Pure Food and Drug Act, absolute reckless irresponsibility run amok. People died then, and they’re going to die now, and we’ll have to change governments to do anything about it.

Whatever you do, don’t call a magazine a “clip.” Two different things (clips aren’t seen that I know of on modern weapons) and if you call a magazine a clip you might as well have a propellor beanie on in terms of being taken seriously. It’s like not being allowed to participate in a conversation on speed limits if you don’t know what a hemi is.

It makes his minions self serving pricks. They need to keep the boss happy because:
They agree with him
They agree they like the paycheck
They agree they like the power
They agree that if he fires them or they quit no one will hire them

Especially the ones here in Baja Arizona who dress up in camo-militia outfits and do “volunteer border security” patrols. Feds really don’t like them, I’m told.

EDIT: And, not many of them have actually been in the military. (Too much chance of the target shooting back.)

And listening to him when he was not on Fox he was insightful, he wasn’t pushing the Fox narrative, but contributing to conservative narrative. I’m not sure how much he appeared anywhere other than Fox in the last 3 years.

When discussing the SHS and the restaurant I would have liked to have seen the owner take a different tact.
They could have seated them by the restrooms, by the kitchen door, or taken their order and delivered Chik-Fil-A. Mix and match options would have worked nicely as well.

A lot of times when I think about people I remember how they were in, say, 1987, when even conservatives could randomly make a pretty good comment. You’d admit to yourself that Krauthammer or Will had hit the nail on the head with that one. You rarely agreed with their positions, but they hadn’t totally perverted their intellects and started crawling for money.

Vladimir Mau, an economic adviser to Putin, frequently reminds his boss that after wealth and income disparity reach certain levels, governing boils down to either active crowd control measures or really good media control. The Trump guys, despite Trump’s claimed media savvy, are much more comfortable with heavy-handed physical force and economic coercion than bothering to pretend everything is great (although that’s what Trump messages daily). The only long- term low-violence answer is to diminish the wealth disparity in American society, but that would mean economic equality for brown people, a bridge too far.
