“It made no sense,” one of the officials told the Times.”

Let me help you understand: “If you help me get a political win and make me look good, I’ll find a way to pay you off with subsidies that use insureds as a pass-through.”

Also seems obvious any 2018 hikes are more due to market chaos instilled by the Republicans and their failure to make the necessary adjustments any huge program like O-Care demanded.

Seems like Seema is no angel… typical Trump associate .form Wikipedia

In 2014, an article in The Indianapolis Star raised concerns over a potential conflict of interest arising from Verma’s dual roles as both a health care consultant for Indiana and an employee of a Hewlett-Packard division that is among Indiana’s largest Medicaid vendors.[3] As of 2014, SVC Inc. had been awarded over $3.5 million in Indiana state contracts. Verma was concurrently employed with Hewlett-Packard, earning over $1 million during a period when the company had secured $500 million in state contracts.[12]

So if I have this straight, Trump is attempting to bribe insurance companies with subsidies that the House GOP thinks is illegal.

I think my head would spin if they actually did something that was coherent.

Shorter GOP: That Obamacare is sure a lousy runner. Isn’t even going to make it to the finish line after we complete the kneecapping.

Many–most? of the company officials probably realized that the arrangement would be discovered eventually. * So they probably stalled. It apparently never occurred to the Badministration officials that this might smack a little too brazenly of bribery or extortion. The White House Horrors roll on. And the worst is undoubtedly still to come.

*Aetna, convicted in Federal court of misleading explanations for pulling out of OCare commitments, pulled out of two more exchanges recently.

Sounds like we need yet another criminal investigation of the Trump administration and likely, the entire GOP

Tierney shouldn’t have to put “(Pictured above)” in the body of an article. I don’t understand why TPM doesn’t caption its photos.

Funny how something “fails” after craven fuckheads (aka the GOP and the Trump administration) sabotage it which this indicates they have been doing.

“Republicans are reforming healthcare so it delivers access to quality, affordable coverage to the American people.”

Even their word salad is nonsense. Healthcare delivers access to coverage? Republicans are reforming healthcare?

Trump is as dumb as a post. He thinks the laws of our land are little chits he can bargain with and at the same time he doesn’t have a clue about what he is doing.

Obamacare has failed,” Alleigh Marre, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, told the LA Times. “For this reason, Republicans are reforming healthcare so it delivers access to quality, affordable coverage to the American people.”

"Reached for comment, a Department spokesperson robotically repeated nonresponsive boilerplate talking points that are flat out lies.

So much for seeing that the laws are faithfully executed. Unless by that you mean putting the laws on a gurney.
