Interesting contrast with Lindsey Graham betting the farm on Uncle Donny. Nikki Haley is getting off of this ship. She’s not stupid. She thinks it’s sinking. Or she reasons that as a woman and a Republican, her only real shot at a political future is to sever ties to the rotten old boys and pitch herself as a new kind of Repub to younger generations in a diversifying South. Meanwhile her copartisan and fellow South Carolinian is thinking Trump is entrenched enough to ride out the storm and he wants in on that sweet Trump action before he cashes in his chips and retires to the green room circuit.
