Trump is riding high on his 35-40% of the GOP base who don’t let the news influence their opinions or vote. If he actually wins the nomination he’s going to have a rough general election after having gone out of his way to piss off every news organization on the planet.

Thuggery raises it’s ugly head…yet again. This time it’s directed at a woman. How brave the trump camp must feel for roughing up a woman. Now I am no supporter of the slime of Breitbart but strong arming a woman, or anyone for that matter, is out of bounds for me no matter who they work for.
And they came to a bad end on the “Night of the Long Knives” in 1934, when many of their leaders were murdered by the rising SS (which began as Hitler’s personal bodyguard).
CNN sure as hell likes this bag of wind. Many times they have gone out of their way to give him air time by broadcasting his rally speeches wall to wall. It’s my impression they are making shit loads f money off him. The head of CBS has said as much that trump is adding heavily to their bottom line.
CNN fills the role of Dept.of Propaganda.
Oh, I’m not saying they won’t cover him, but when all of their coverage is negative, and when the voting pool isn’t restricted to people who generally don’t give a fuck… he’s going to be introduced the hard way to why politicians care about the media cycle and the tenor of their coverage.
Even in this day and age, the news has the power to change minds. Maybe not all mind, or even the majority, but enough that it matters when you need every vote in a swing state.
Also, I’m of the opinion that the general electorate is going to be less amused by his antics than his current crowd. He can’t carry a majority of his own party, despite all his “Trumpmentum”. Right now, it might not matter that his own party is trying to spike him, or that the news is lambasting him at every turn, but on the national stage, in a one-on-one match up, it will.
If it doesn’t… well then I guess this country will have proved it truly deserves President Trump.

The classic shill was there for two reasons. To stand there and pretend to be amazed by the shell game, and to provide muscle in case one of the marks starts making trouble. As others have pointed out though, the Sturmabteilung is probably a better analogy.
Ok, so Trump was leaving. Secret Service was clearing a path. She was in the path. She was moved out of the path. She lacked the coordination to stay on her feet. Internet has a spasm. Moral of the story, don’t wander into a moving crowd and expect to not get swept up by the crowd. On another point, since when is it appropriate to call someone working at Breitbart a “reporter”.
What supporters of Mr. Trump seem to fail to realize is that they are only “good ones” as long as his whims allow them to be.
As soon as his mood changes for any reason, regardless of anything they have or haven’t done, they are the enemy, and thus instantly become targets for his unreasoned and unreasonable rage, as well as that of his minions.
This is the face of megalomania writ large.
What is not so visible is that it is equally a symptom of an underlying insecurity and sense of vulnerability which is eating away at his core at a ferocious rate.
