That article is incredibly frustrating, because while it does a good job of chronicling Trump’s failure to take on the rising fascist tide, it fails to simply acknowledge that the reason for that failure is that he and the party that put him in power are part of that tide. The mainstream in this country needs to start vocally recognizing that beam in our eye before we can start taking action about the rising motes in other nations.

It is incredible to me that a guy who lived in NYC and had access to every sort of information there is can be so… ignorant of American values and traditions that most all of us from any party accept. We don’t murder the innocents caught up in war when it can be avoided. That is just basic humanity right there.
He’s the eleven year old boy who puts his sister’s pet hamster in a box and shakes it. We’ve all known that kid. We all expected him to grow up into a terrible person. We didn’t expect him to just never grow up.
It’s amazing. You have to sit back and think about how Trump is almost uniquely unqualified and ill-suited for his position. Truly I do think a random man or woman plucked off of the sidewalk would be better.
