" Senate Intel’s Understaffed Russia Probe Is Moving At Snail’s Pace."

I would have guessed “At a Turtle’s Pace,” but yeah.

I just posted this same story from DailyBeast. Lovely way to start the week.

Given the level of potential damage to the interests of the United States, you cannot convince me that the republican senate’s deliberate slow-walk of this investigation is anything other than collusion to pervert the course of Justice.

Of course it is.

They’re all involved - they took Russian campaign money.

We will get to the bottom of this even if it takes eight years!

  1. Warner needs to be more like Schiff and come out and say when Burr tries slow-walking this.

2). It’s time to stop pretending that any Republicans will ever participate in a genuine investigation. This isn’t a criminal problem, it’s a political one. If we want this to happen, we have to tie every single obstructing Republican to it and then win in 2018.

For fucks sake! Warner, stop with the bad hair dye and get real! Does Louise have to do all the heavy lifting?

Absolutely.

They’re hoping that either 1) it goes away on its own (ain’t gonna happen) or 2) someone else (like David Corn, Louise Mensch, Rachel Maddow, etc.) will break the story wide open and it’s taken out of their hands without them (Goopers on the committee) suffering collateral damage.

At the end of the day I think 2) is the most likely explanation and also the most likely scenario that will play out.

I must say Russia certainly has our inept leadership pegged…

You liberals are just never satisfied! First you say we spent way too much money holding hearing after hearing after hearing on Bengazi and HRC’s emails and now, when we’re trying to demonstrate fiscal discipline by grossly understaffing an investigation into a foreign adversary’s influence on our federal election and government, suddenly you want money to be spent!

There’s just no pleasing liberals, I guess.

The cover up is working. Look who decided to pursue other opportunities last week? McCord, the person in charge of Trump Russia at DOJ. And they’ve been floating the all clear in the press all weekend.

Intelligence analysts and FBI investigators who analyzed various strands of intelligence from human sources to electronic and financial records have found signs of possible collusion between the campaign and Russian officials. But there is not enough evidence to show that crimes were committed, US officials say.

It’s all a doll, within a doll, within a doll. Burr is no better than Nunes. He’s just been more convincing because he keeps his mouth shut totally. They promised open hearings after the closed hearings that they just scheduled. Whatever they come up with will be as boring and innocuous as the first hearing which was completely useless.

It’s a scam. There is no real investigation into Trump Russia.

And the story that’s developing around the Kompromat is that the Russians required Siamese Insurance or proof of loyalty. So that if and when any of them ever step out of line they go first. And they go to prison. If this is true.

And they all look like Ivanka

The only thing I would add is #2 also includes the FBI. That’s what I think they are really hoping for. And to that point, because there are increasing signs that this investigation will extend beyond the White House, they want to slow walk it so they don’t accidentally open up the wrong doors for the FBI.

Not all of 'em. unfortunately,

Tramp Nash: Russian phrase for Trump is ours.

Keep bugging yourSenators. I just sent my missives. They cannot be allowed to drag their feet. If the Senate can’t or won’t do their jobs, push for the independent commission.

This is EXACTLY what they do up there to slow walk investigations and/or legislation. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We’ve seen this tactic before!
