Discussion for article #245240
Geez, isn’t this kind of what those Texas anti-abortion film makers did–using false credentials.
In the interest of balance, can we please add this to the article here.
“And the casino politicking is a reminder – and an ironic one – of how the Clintons made their way inside various Strip resorts to try to get to workers in 2008 after the Culinary endorsed Barack Obama. Clinton won that caucus, 51 percent to 45 petcent, but lost the delegate fight to Obama.”
While some may welcome this type of thing as making matters easier for Hillary, the Democratic Party in 2016 is not well-served by this.
The big difference is pretending to be a Union Rep is a far cry for forging driver’s licenses. the DL is an official government document, a union card is not.
It’s not a great move on the part of the Sander’s campaign, IMHO>
If this creep is nominated I’ll become a Democrat for Bloomberg.
Bernie is not a Democrat.
Sounds like you already are.
Yet Hillary and her campaign is labeled dishonest.
Nothing wrong with contacting workers directly to get them to ignore the union endorsement. That’s freedom of speech and every day politicking.
The problem here is not that the Sanders campaign contacted the workers it’s the dishonest means they used to do so and, apparently, the false representation they made of themselves to the workers.
Fits with my view of Jeff Weaver.
Increasingly I get the idea that Bernie’s followers are winging it.

Didn’t happen and if it did its Hillary, DWs and the DNCs fault. Oh and Wall Street’s oligarchs too
It was actually a little more than that with the Clinton campaign using a cat’s paw to make legal maneuvers to hamper Obama:
"The same day, another union – the Nevada State Education Association – contended that Obama and the culinary workers are altogether too friendly, and asked a federal court to shut down the casino caucus sites because, the association said, they give preferential treatment to culinary union members. Either way the sentence I put in was in the original article from Ralston Reports and I thought it deserved to be included.
So how soon before the Sanders campaign complains that organized labor is “The Establishment”?
No, but the top of the Presidential ticket affects candidates Down Ticket the party represents. Bernie is competing in the Democratic Party for that Party’s nomination for President of the United States.
That’s because Sanders is more “pure” and can, therefore, can be forgiven for such things.
Congratulations to whoever’s bright idea this was – you may well have blown Bernie’s chances in Nevada. Great plan. I’m sure Bernie really appreciates your “help.”
Ya think?
Meanwhile, over in Carly Fiorina’s camp: “Hey, can we try that? Maybe with kids?”
And seriously, if anyone outside the union remembers this for another couple of weeks it will be a miracle. No sense wasting outrage, worrying about downticket seats, or threatening to vote for Bloomberg for this. Just chill.
