No heroes today, I guess.

But…but…all the declarations that it was dead!

So he has said he will vote yes to debate a bill the content of which he has zero knowledge. Did I read that correctly [asking for a friend, seriously]?

There a was temporary scare at the Capitol today when ethics and honor were reported to be lurking about.

The GOP response?

Modern male republicans have no morals or courage. Trump(could give a)care doesn’t jive with the Beatitudes.

trumpfluffer – there is no courage or independence in these people at all.

Well, at least I can quit following the news hopefully and get some actual work done (so my employer will be happy with me, so I can have health insurance).

It’s been an unproductive, distracting day of a year of unproductive, distracting days.

Portman, the chief architect of the Bush economic collapse, the greatest recession since the Great Depression, all because of his blind fealty to outrageous tax cuts for the wealthiest of the wealthy, now wants to be responsible for the destruction of healthcare for tens of millions of Americans, all in blind fealty to outrageous tax cuts for the wealthiest of the wealthy. He is not a moderate. He is not concerned. He is a despicable dickhead, period.

So, they are coalescing around the skinny repeal, which as I understand it, gets rid of the mandates. Don’t these include the till 26 under family plan, mental health coverage, coverage of preexisting conditions, etc.? does it also include the mandate that Ins Cos. pay a minimum of 80% on, you know, actual healthcare?

I guess it’s their way to kill it while still sending medicare $ to the states…

Watching the live vote… Collins and Murkowski vote no, Capito and Portman yes. It looks like it’s up to McCain.

So we’re prolly screwed

Great, now Scaramucci has to take time out of his busy day to fire Collins and Murkowski. Women, I swear…

Hmm I don’t remember anyone - certainly not anyone credible - claiming that. Instead, what I clearly recall are Josh, Schumer, Warren et al calling on folks to remain vigilant. Do you have a link to your claim?

Read these forums. Been declared plenty of times.

Keep an eye out for declarations soon that it’ll never make it out of the Senate, even if MTP has been passed.

It will be a big surprise to some when that happens too. But they’ll be certain that the next time they step on the rake it’ll be the final, fatal blow.

@meri
I think both things were true. There were some days where there were "It’s over! headlines, but they were soon followed by “It’s alive!” ones.
