Has he replaced the lawyers that ‘you’re fired’ him when his previous lawyers got lawyers because they got swept up in Mueller’s probe?

Ok, the investigation is definitely “rigged” now!!

Hmmmmm…as I understand it, Don the Con can’t pardon state charges.

Good. Manafort will have to roll over to save himself possible jail time. And some of that will definitely slop over onto Don the Con and his crime family.

Now, if the NY AG can just come up with a few more investigations. Cohen, Beavis and Butthead along with Jarvanka would be a good start.

No wonder that jackass congressman wants to stop the investigation.

OT but can you imagine if a Democratic rep had introduced a measure to end the benghazi fishing expeditions at a set date? Woulda been treated like “the smoking gun” on fox.

What will happen when he announces pardon for state crimes?
Is this point completely clear?

Wonder if Trump still thinks Schneiderman is a light weight?

As Politico noted, Mueller’s decision to work with Schneiderman could put pressure on Manafort to cooperate with the probe, since President Donald Trump would not have the power to pardon Manafort for state crimes.

If Trump were not so stupid, he wouldn´t have clearly underscored his intention to go pardon-crazy by pardoning Arpaio.

I’m not a lawyer, so don’t know personally, but this was asserted by a number of folks in threads over the past couple of weeks (because of the Arpaio case), which was news to me.

According to that impeccable source ( :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) Wikipedia:

Mueller must have some good stuff on a number of people, not just Manafort, to be taking steps to coordinate with NY AG. Tightening things up so there is as little chance as possible for anyone to walk away. Trump out of WH and back in Trump Tower in time for a beautiful Christmas.

This isn’t fair!! Mueller knows that all of Trump’s associates are crooks, who commit crimes, both Federal and State! This isn’t a level playing field!

Getting snug isn’t it Donnie?

Dan Rather said it last night on Chris Hayes, and he’s watched a lot of Polititians
“He has the appearance and conducts himself as someone who is very scared of what is about to be revealed about his finances.”
Indeed , so narcissist that he thought he could get away with it

I guess we can expect Trump to start campaigning for a Republican candidate for NY AG pretty soon.

Those “pardons” would be invalid.

The president’s pardon power extends only to federal crimes.

It’s OK. As long as everybody gets to play on a Level Exercise Yard.
My favorite band, the Yardbirds!

See? They accuse Trump of collusion. But Mueller’s colluding with a Democrat!

This is John Boyd’s OODA loop in use. Observe, orient, decide, and act—and do it faster than your opponent. Fire Bharara? Pardon Arpaio? Just play Whac-a-mole with every threat? Seemed like a way to go. Except Mueller’s capable of seeing patterns and planning ahead, numbnuts. You’re in the bigs now and turns out you can’t hit the pitching.

I think that he probably would have continued to get away with it if he hadn’t accidentally won the election. I’m guessing that the government would have nailed him to the wall and then turned him into an informant.

That’s where this gets interesting. Trump will squeal like a rat to save himself. How does Putin feel about that? Inquiring minds…

I believe Mueller’s collaboration with Schneiderman began in the late summer, suggesting Mueller has anticipated Trump’s moves and, moreover, expects him to be utterly ruthless and unconscionable in his behavior.

By which I mean Trump will not respect historical norms or traditions or ethics of any kind. Unless the Constitution expressly forbids something, he’s going to take advantage of any and all loopholes believing Congress will not stop him.

I doubt a straight arrow like Mueller has much respect for Trump.
