If I understand anatomy correctly, the organ with the highest cholesterol is bRAins. Just some information for those with diet restrictions.

Big deal. Anything “could” happen. Or, may be it won’t.

So… what you’re saying is we can all be called fatheads?

Seriously, you’re right. It’s called myelin.

Myelin is a lipid-rich (fatty) substance formed in the central nervous system (CNS) by glial cells called oligodendrocytes, and in the peripheral nervous system (PNS) by Schwann cells. Myelin insulates nerve cell axons to increase the speed at which information (encoded as an electrical signal) travels from one nerve cell body to another (as in the CNS) or, for example, from a nerve cell body to a muscle (as in the PNS). The myelinated axon can be likened to an electrical wire (the axon) with insulating material (myelin) around it. However, unlike the plastic covering on an electrical wire, myelin does not form a single long sheath over the entire length of the axon. Rather, each myelin sheath insulates the axon over a single section and, in general, each axon comprises multiple long myelinated sections separated from each other by short gaps. Each myelin sheath is formed by the concentric wrapping of an oligodendrocyte or Schwann cell process around the axon.

There is some strong current evidence that dietary cholesterol does not really affect blood cholesterol. Just sayin.

Correct. Also, since the thickness of the semipermeable myelin sheath determines the relative speed of action potential propagation within the neuron, world-class sprinters typically have thicker myelin sheaths than the more normal (read as “mean”) of the species. But that’s just one of several advantages that most world-class sprinters possess. Another advantage is the same as most high-velocity baseball pitchers…extremely elastic tendons for storing energy with a subsequent burst release of power as the tendon “snaps back”, releasing the energy. That’s why baseball pitchers and sprinters slow as they age; they lose that elasticity.

[sigh] Entropy catches up with each and every one of us.

And so say all of us…breaking point, resign, frog marched out the door.

And because there’s always an ambulance at the scene of an accident with fatalities or injuries does not mean that one can conclude that ambulances cause accidents with injuries or fatalities.
That’s basically what researchers concluded when they discovered cholesterol at the point of artery damage and blockage. The body sends out cholesterol to help repair a damaged or stressed artery.
Also when they first started doing research on cholesterol and fats in diets, they fed fatty foods to a rabbit,. When they cut the rabbit open, there was serious fat accumulation in his arteries. What they ignored is that rabbits do not have a bile duct to dissolve fat. Humans do.

Trump will never resign. First, he knows the Senate will not convict him even if the House were to vote articles of impeachment. Second, he considers his ability to pardon to be his ace in the hole. Even in the face of incontrovertible evidence, he’ll deny everything because, well, he actually believes everything he says. In the unlikely event of impeachment proceedings in the Senate that look bad for Trump, he’ll simply pardon himself. That’ll show 'em. The resulting constitutional crisis will be music to his ears!

Now, his administration is a mess, as was his casino business, his real estate business, his university, his meat…

But this is all standard operating procedure. Just outrun the law with lies, other crimes, and a legal team expert at tying up the judicial system for decades, ultimately settling for untaxed pennies on the dollar.

Speaking as a card-carrying amateur, I think the Republican High Command (hidden in their secret lair under some Koch Industries High-rise) will have to cut a deal to dump Trump while there is still time to install a Vice replacement through the Republican controlled Senate when Pence rises to the Presidency.

It may look like a deal to protect Trump’s kids, but it will actually be a deal to protect the Republican hold on as many branches of government as possible for as long as possible.

For what it’s worth, my understanding is that the HSPCI Democrats think that it’s more likely that Putin did it only for the discord rather than for specific terms based on that they (the HSPCI Democrats) believe that Putin doesn’t think any differently of Trump than any of us think of Trump. Any sanctions relief that further cements Putin’s power, a withdrawal from Syria that surrenders that Mediterranean Russian naval base, or a horrible climate change policy that opens up shipping lanes to Russia in the Arctic is all just bonus.

(This also makes sense in that Russia throughout 2015-2016 must have been considering Trump’s win probabilities, and it really was outlandish that a candidate could win a plurality of votes in a major party’s nomination process and then proceed to win the electoral college without the popular vote. But, if discord were good enough for Russia, then the payoff looked to be linear as help to Trump’s campaign would correlate to discord regardless of whether it was sufficient for Trump to win.)

“discord” was a GOP’er canard to mask the fact that Russia was working for Trump and against HRC. The final analysis on that was just released in a big NYT piece. Discord was smoke.

I mean sow discord as a synonym for divide, not as a bizarro claim that Trump didn’t conspire with a foreign hostile state to defraud the US.

And don’t forget world domination. Putin really really wants the USSR back, and to do that, he must weaken the US. .

But don’t underestimate how much the sanctions stick in his craw. That ex KGB thug wants his money back. He doesn’t need it. He has tons of stolen USSR money. But he WANTS it. It’s HIS money, Obama STOLE it, and he want it back NOW. Because he’s a sociopathic dickhead, and that’s just how they roll.
