Discussion: Report: Mueller Requests 'Broad Array' of Documents From Justice Department

I read in the NYT this morning that Charles Manson died in prison. I hope to live long enough to read the same about Donald Trump.

and Sessions’ behavior is so far beyond clueless, that I am struggling to find the right adjective. He is the head of DOJ, and he was joking about this and the implications of Russian interference in the election on stage at the Federalist Society. I hope, as Mueller gets closer, that he isn’t laughing in private.

But, look over there - Marshawn Lynch, LaVar Ball, build the Wall,Crooked Hillary, Al Frankenstein.

Congress should quickly pass legislation removing the Presiden’t power to pardon any crimes where the President is directly implicated with charges of obstruction of justice.

And OOH SQUIRREL.

without invoking executive privilege or the Fifth Amendment,

Hold on! Has the Attorney General of the United States invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination?

Did I miss this, because that would be a big story and saying he did, when he did not, would be incredibly sloppy reporting.

The pardon power comes from Constitution and is an Article II power of the Executive and not an Article I power of the Congress. What this means is that Congress does not have any power to regulate the pardon powers. This distinction is fundamental to the Separation of Powers doctrine.
