Discussion: Report: Mueller Probing Series Of 2017 Meetings In The Seychelles

I recall how pleasant he was about the House Committee hearing:

“Walking out of the Capitol alone, Prince characterized the interview as a waste of his time. He demanded that Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), the top Democrat on the committee, apologize for “wasting all of our time, for wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on a meaningless fishing expedition.””

So, Erik Prince lives in Abu Dhabi, and so does MBZ.

Kirill Dmitriev (a former Goldman Sachs guy, natch), lives in Russia.

Why do they all have to meet in the middle of the Indian Ocean other than to pull off some world-shaking fuckery?

Pure bluster.

With this crew I am constantly reminded of that old saw “the best defense is a good offense.”

And, Dog knows, these guys are all offensive…!

I thought MBZ was from Dubai. He owns the Four Seasons Resort there on Mahe. I’ve been there and seen his house, his mother-in-law’s house with the rail ramp going down the beach, along with his floating heliport so that he doesn’t have to mix with the hoi poloi when his private jet lands at the airport in Victoria. My now son-in-law was working at the Four Seasons there when my daughter and I met him. He doesn’t have a lot of good things to say about Arab guests, but he does say the Russians were worse.

Well, that House Committee was right to fold up shop. Nothing to see here. We know all we need to know. Sorry we wasted your time, Mr. Prince.

When the State Trooper pulls you over for speeding and says this time he’ll let you off with a warning, don’t complain about the waste of your time and that you pay his salary.

There are lots of other reasons. For example:

  • Planning some world-shaking fuckery
  • Coordinating some world-shaking fuckery
  • Financing some world-shaking fuckery

Why the Seychelles?

Anyone who knows about the Seychelles knows exactly why. It’s all about its political corruption, its status as a tax haven, its reputation as a place to hide criminal capital, its willingness to host anonymous shell companies and act as a haven for fraudsters and arms smugglers, and its history of offering broad immunity from prosecution and extradition for the right price. In 1995 the Republic of Seychelles even enacted the Economic Development Act that “…offered broad immunity from prosecution and extradition to any foreign national who invested at least $10 million in the local economy.” The law was rescinded but the practice apparently continues.

This 2014 article from the International Business Times spells it out quite nicely:

Certainly NOTHING to see here.

Can’t we please move on?

I wish every time Erik Prince is mentioned, he was linked to Betsy DeVos so we could all keep remembering what a mess of incest this all is.

Prince has lots of non-extradition possibilities available, especially in Africa and most notably, RUSSIA.

They took our JOOOOOBBBBBBBBSSSSSSS¡

Because clearly someone in the group thought…“A teeny tiny island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. What better place for us to get together and NObody will notice?”

But someone did, unfortunately for all involved.

And BTW, it is probably just a coincidence, but on the day that the new Russian Ambassador to the US presented his credentials at the White House, Sept. 8, 2017, there were perhaps another dozen or so ambassadors on hand as well. And one of them happened to be…the ambassador from…the Seychelles. Of ALL the countries that could be there that day…the Seychelles.

Again, perhaps it was a coincidence, but I do think about these folks suddenly showing up in the Seychelles for these meetings early that same year before Trump took office. The islands aren’t very big and the country’s immigration officials would be hard pressed NOT to notice that high ranking Russian and US officials were suddenly “in town” at the same time. One would think that Erik Prince’s reputation from his days running Blackwater in Iraq and Afghanistan would be a name known to the authorities AND that Prince had ties to the Trump administration.

To what degree did Seychelle authorities play any role in helping organize these meetings, or simply “looking the other way”?
