Discussion: Report: Monica Lewinsky Becomes Regular Contributor For Vanity Fair

Discussion for article #225809

So, Vanity Fair’s publishers would like to see Jeb Bush in the White House.

I am shocked, shocked I tell you!

Oh, great. Just in time for Hilary '16…

As if the media didn’t already have enough BS to sidetrack them from real issues.

I guess the fashion shoots will only be of navy blue GAP dresses.

Not to be outdone, the Heifer Gazette has hired Linda Tripp.

I don’t understand the vitriol towards her. She was used by some very evil people. She certainly did not plot to have an affair with the POTUS in order to bring him down. She was betrayed by her “friend” Linda Tripp.

Monica must have just seen the movie Iron Man, and now she wants to bag herself a millionaire!

I tend to agree with you. I blame Bill Clinton more for the mere fact that this guy who is supposed to be so damned brilliant didn’t think a young intern would brag to someone about giving the President a blow job!!!

I wish her the very best. She deserves to have just as much a chance to successful in her life as anyone does.

We’ve all made mistakes in our lives but few of us found ourselves under the spotlight that has followed this woman around for far too long.

If the GOTP wants to keep bringing her up let 'em. We can just add it to their efforts to wage war on women.

Poor little victim. Sniff.

“young intern” was the only thinking going on. And she did her thong best after that.

This time though it was Monica looking for the spotlight and a season ticket for 2016. She really is shameless. Even Hillary deserves better.

What could this woman possibly contribute to journalism? Monica Lewinsky blows.

While I don’t like the way the radical right used her, the fact is that she herself said she was going to D. C. to get her “Presidential kneepads.” She wasn’t an innocent little girl.

As I posted in my thread over in the Hive.

Fattening up that bank account . . .

But what else would you have her do? It’s entirely unreasonable to think that the revelation didn’t close many if not all the more orthodox doors she would have thought might be opened for her from a WH intern position, while at the same time opening a far lesser number of distinctly, um, less orthodox opportunities, of the sort that crack open for those upon whom celebrity has been visited.

She’s written and stated that after over a decade of being nothing more a punch line, she determined to embrace the notoriety and get on with that living thing. That kind of gumption, combined with the level of intelligence it takes to get a WH intern position in the first place, suggests the possibility that she might well turn out pretty, pretty good at this new gig.

[Plus it’s not like she’s gone porn or is shilling for lip gloss.]

SHE “looking for the spotlight”, or the SPOTLIGHT looking for her?

Tell you what: YOU go give a president a b.j., tell a confidante, and go thru something like she has - THEN we’ll see what sort of comments you post.

I am totally unaware of this Darcy but that certainly does not mean it’s true. Please tell me why you say this, thanks.
