I guess being a mormon makes you a resident of Utah, in the same way that being Jewish makes you a citizen of Israel…

All three of these people would be better than Hatch…yes, even Mitt. They are all conservatives that are relatively sane and interested in the public good, and have shown a willingness to set aside conservative policy when it’s shown to be inadequate. In the past, they would have been the usual conservative politician, which is a dying breed today.

I would love to see him run, and get beat in the primary by Evan McMullen - who has consistently spoken out sanely with concerns about Trump, and didn’t sell out his public concerns, to dine out with Trump to audition for secretary of state (and ultimately be humiliated by Trump, again.)

He built a mansion in Utah ski country after his defeat and considers it his home.

Still better than Liz Cheney…

I don’t actually hate Romney enough to care.

In fact, I don’t even know why I’m commenting.

That’s setting the bar in subterranean territory.

I can just see Mitten’s criss-crossing the state, with his dog strapped to the roof. It doesn’t get hot in Utah, does it?

Ah. I wasn’t aware of that… did he get a permit for the car elevator there?

Do all countries allow their elected officials to bequeath their jobs to designated heirs, or is that unique to ours?

Ol’ Mitt has a learning disorder…

But do any of his Utah mansions have a car elevator?

Sigh!

I think, when you realistically consider the range of senators for that seat, Romney is among the best options.
