Discussion: Report: Israel Eavesdropped On Kerry's Calls During Peace Talks

At least one other intelligence agency, which Der Speigel did not identify, also allegedly listened in on Kerry’s calls.

Now, who would do such a thing? Schadenfreude is a German word, isn’t it?

As an aside, John Kerry, if you recall, has Jewish roots; his paternal grandfather, a Czech, Fritz Kohn, changed his name to Frederick Kerry. Moreover, Kerry’s brother, Cameron is a convert to Judaism.

We don’t give Germany money as far as I know, and I don’t believe Germany has bombed anyone in quite a while or brought the ire of Muslim terrorists on our head for that matter.

You know who ELSE was German?

Among their discoveries:

  1. Heidi Klum is still hot.
  2. “I really hate ketchup.”
  3. “I was screwed in 2004.”

why Ive never heard of such a thing…can they hear me now???

If Netanyahu were an American politician, he would be a Republican. Projection and faux outrage come naturally to him.

No worries. It’s just to keep us safe.

Ed Snowden must get a chuckle out of this.

There’s only one way to settle this. Fisticuffs!

The outrage was over Israel’s criticism, not their eavesdropping.

Well, not Hitler. He was Austrian.

Hitler had to be specially granted German citizenship so he could run for office. In 1932, he wanted to run for President against von Hindenburg, but was barred by not being a German citizen. On February 25, 1932, the government of the state of Braunschweig (Brunswick) appointed him to a minor administrative post. As a civil servant he automatically became a citizen of Braunschweig and, since citizenship was controlled by the states, a German citizen. Hitler then ran against Hindenburg in the election of March 13, 1932 and eventually lost in a runoff election.

Talk about the tail wagging the dog. The US will be conservative Israel’s dog as long as we let it.

Israel is playing a dangerous game of antagonizing the US while isolating itself from the rest of the planet with their now exposed policy of routinely targeting civilians and UN shelters.

of course

I had to watch that clip although I’ve seen it a million times. I love that movie. That must have been the one they had in mind when they said “they don’t make them like they used to.”

Laser like focus on the peace process

Fair enough, but neither is the US obligated to underwrite Israeli misbehavior. At what point do we start docking their allowance?
