Zinke: Its all covered by Price. He has agreed to reimburse it for me.
Trump: Obama flew in these planes and nobody complained. Why cant a white man do the same?

I said it yesterday about Pruitt and it goes for Zinke too. They’re dirty as hell so why EVER use a military plane? To save their reputations? What reputations? To waste taxpayer money for the fun of it?

The secretary and his staff also took charter flights between St. Thomas and St. Croix for events marking the date the Danish government gave the islands to the U.S., Politico reported.

Minor point. Denmark sold the Virgin Islands to the United States in 1916 for $25 million in gold coins. Never a “gift.”

… seems to be a lifelong habit. From Wiki:

“In the late 1990s, Zinke paid back the Navy $211 after improperly billing the government for personal travel expenses. Zinke’s former commanding officer, now-retired Vice Admiral Albert M. Calland III, stated that as a result, Zinke received a June 1999 Fitness Report that blocked him from being promoted to a commanding officer position, or to the rank of captain.[16][17] Zinke acknowledged the error but maintains that the incident did not adversely affect his career.[16] His promotion from lieutenant commander to commander was approved the following year.[18]”

How does this work, exactly?

This is amazing. I wonder if they are so rabidly paranoid that they ‘imagined’ this is what Democrats did under Obama (they have been whining and sniveling for YEARS about perceived grievances that keep turning out to be false) and believed they were entitled OR that they assumed this is what working for Trump was like…always forgetting that they were SUPPOSED to be working for the American people…

Many private plane owners lease their planes out when they aren’t using them to provide a little extra cash flow.

Interior spokeswoman Heather Swift told Politico that Zinke and his staff only booked government or private planes after they were unable to find commercial flights to accommodate the secretary’s schedule.

Did Zinke take any food/water/aid to those islands with him?
Yeah, thought not.

This is nothing compared to the corruption from the Obama administration. Remember that time he wore a tan suit? Wow.

Trump, thy nickname is “Swampy!”

Well now they’re so despised for wasting money they’ll demand bodyguards anytime they deign to fly commercial. That’s what happens when you see yourself as a VIP instead of a public servant.

how many congressional hearings would have been scheduled by now if it had occurred in the Clinton admin?

321 as of yesterday. 18 more scheduled for this week. If this had happened in a Clinton administration.

Maybe they will ALL get ‘cone of silence’ closets like Pruitt and then they can convince themselves that if some ‘spy’ in their department hadn’t ‘leaked’ the information it would have been OK to ‘treat’ themselves. What I love is both Price and Zinke have tried to hide behind the excuse of 'my flights were APPROVED! as if they hadn’t been congresscritters that cut their teeth on blaming Dems for ‘waste, fraud and abuse’…

The plane Zinke flew on was owned by an oil company:

In June, Zinke and his staffers took a four-hour flight from Las Vegas to Kalispell, Mont., aboard a private plane owned by the executives of a Wyoming oil-and-gas exploration firm, aviation and business records show. The flight cost taxpayers $12,375, according to an Interior Department spokeswoman. Commercial airlines run daily flights between the two airports and charge as little as $300.

Would think being as he’s their man, the oil company would have provided a freebie.

Can you imagine her grifting if she had become VP?

In the world of projecting your sins onto your enemy, yeah. No doubt. They simply cannot conceive that people can actually be good scouts about life. It is a self perpetuating rationalization for their own behavior.
