Trumpism is the New Feudalism. The crazy must end or we have all had it.
The best camps. With a Stephen Miller medical suite for experimentation on those pairs of Gypsy twins lucky enough to survive the initial selection process.
Yes, and its worth including the description of that Tent city in the same article:
As we entered the place, a spectacle met our eyes that almost froze our blood with horror, and made our hearts fail within us. Before us were forms that had once been active and erect;âstalwart men, now nothing but mere walking skeletons, covered with filth and vermin. Many of our men, in the heat and intensity of their feeling, exclaimed with earnestness. âCan this be hell?â
No doubt there were many Jews, gypsies, and other so-called âundesirablesâ in 1930s Germany who said the same thing.
Itâs GITMO for kids!
Once again, American Exceptionalism at its finest.
The Constitution isnât going to save us.
OT. But why does Chris Hayes always seem to have a RWNJ Republican du jour on his show spouting lies and ridiculous nonsense? This time, some miscreant named Lee Zeldin. Havenât we suffered enough assaults on logic?
I didnât want to like that. Most of my family was killed in the pogroms and WWII, but that was apt.
It was 103Âș in El Paso today. Do we need children dying from heat exhaustion to bring home the point that this is a crime?
It is not widely known that Japanese-Americans were also interned in (what was then) Death Valley National Monument (now National Park) at Cow Creek. The Superindent, T.R. Goodwin, by all accounts, a very decent man, was a bit of a lengend for us in the NPS.
Superintendent Goodwin and his staff worked hard to make conditions as livable and comfortable as possible for the relocated internees. Goodwin had dinner with the group on their second night in Death Valley. He even shared with them that park naturalists would like to show them slides and enlighten them on Death Valleyâs natural history. Goodwinâs outreach apparently worked.
Tent cities? RUFK.!?! Refugee camps in AmericaâŠjustâŠI have no words. SMHâŠ
ETA: the reference to the Japanese internment camps was appropriate. This is thatâŠall over again.
ETA 2: How do you do this to CHILDREN?!?! This from the âpro lifeâ party???
No. It would be just as heinous a crime if the tent city were located in Santa Cruz, CA.
Let us not forget who is directly responsible for these kids.

Funny how the website doesnât give a phone number or email address.
Well, I will give them credit for consistency, at least. After false claims of baths (or maybe showers), we now add the tent camps (Lager). Next, someone will no doubt decide that the little moochers need to work to cover the cost of their generous housing, food, and guards, I mean guardians.
In fact, thereâs something liberating about work. You could almost say that it makes you free. And that is such a catchy slogan that maybe weâll even put it up over the gate to the camp. What a great idea.
Good thing there was no difference between the candidates, eh?
Ralph, I think you meant to say â⊠it would STILL be a crimeâ in Santa Cruz. No?
Yes, thatâs what I meant. I changed my post.
Jeez, he didnât need to travel all that way. Bannon and Gorka could have filled him in.
I wanted to laugh at your pithy response but I justâŠcanât. I think this is one of the most awful things ever. Honestly, the WWII references are very spot on.
I love how you twisted the knife with your last line.
No worries Ralph. I got your back! I knew thatâs what you meant!
Iâm heartsick and heartbroken. This is disgusting and I donât know how to continue functioning in this moment.
