I’m hoping that this is a sign of things to come: emboldened by the Democratic investigations and the public testimony critical of Trump, more and more career government workers will leak evidence of the illegal activity they have seen during this administration.

You should say it while you can!
Been that way for a while, and it is much worse for people of color. The government can silence you, torture you, take your property, and kill you with impunity. If you’re a white male, they won’t take away your guns, though.
No democracy, no justice.
The historical record shows that Democrats are no better on civil liberties than Republicans. Sad, but true. President Obama prosecuted more whistle blowers than all his predecessors combined, and he started the “Kill List,” so he could kill people with impunity. Plus, he failed to prosecute the war crimes of the Bush administration, probably so he could commit his own.
In the same vein, this was hitting the news yesterday:

The ACLU statement is silly. Of course this is what the the U.S. and state governments do and have done for a very long time under Democratic and Republican administrations. The FBI, NSA, Homeland Security and others are political police. Creating dossiers, harassing, playing people and groups off each other, arresting if not mudering those critical of U.S. government policies and acting on those beliefs, and journalists reporting on what they do, is standard fare.
So great to have the incompetent bot back in fine fettle.
