Children don’t vote. Next.*

*And CHIP eligible children’s parents don’t write large checks to GOP campaign PACS.

This plan is DOA. GOP is unprepared to deal with the scale of Harvey. Harvey ate up all their plans. It’s a $150 to $200 bn recovery plan at least.

Guess who is reproducing faster than the GOP’s base, which is particularly irritated by it. Guess.

I honestly can’t think of a better position for Democrats to be in than fighting for poor save sick kids against tax cuts for the wealthy. The optics of this will be stunningly bad for Republicans.

Winning proposition.

We must get those sick lazy kids off the gov’t payroll so we can lower taxes for our poor wealthy job creators!

I’m out here in rural KY, in PP country. I’m guessing a whole lot more of them need the CHIP than do “those people” in Louisville and Lexington who have access to free clinics and other programs that will pick up the slack.

Somebody PLEASE explain to me how this is a winning issue for the GOP. I mean, especially with the after effects of Harvey.

“…including the reauthorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) which provides health coverage to millions of children in low-income families and expires on Sept. 30.”

In addition to CHIP, the Federal Flood Ins. Program has to be reauthorized by this date as well. This will not end well for the country.

And they’ll pay with their fucking balls, too.
Between the money needed for the Harvey devastation and the toilet ratings of their Fearless Leader, this idea is almost laughable, if it wasn’t so cravenly - but not unexpectedly - heartless.

Houston will likely be one big SuperFund site. Harvey has unleashed an ecological public health disaster.

“May” is one king hell of a caveat but I wouldn’t put it past these pseudo-conservatives.

You know, right now, it kinda feels like being on a rollercoaster ride at the very outset when you’re slowly getting up to the top, you begin to realize this was a BIG mistake but it’s way too late to get off.

All you can do is just pray that you don’t choke on your own vomit or have it fly back in your face.

Better yet. Let’s send 'em back to the coal mines and let 'em earn a living! Coal is making a come back after all. MAGA!

Or get your head cut off.

Just keep pushing crap in people’s faces, GOP, I like the results the crap is already producing:

I’ve proposed this ad for the RCCC. If they don’t take it Americans for Prosperity surely will.

I am assured by our merchants, that a boy or a girl before twelve years old is no salable commodity; and even when they come to this age they will not yield above three pounds, or three pounds and half-a-crown at most on the exchange; which cannot turn to account either to the parents or kingdom, the charge of nutriment and rags having been at least four times that value.

I shall now therefore humbly propose my own thoughts, which I hope will not be liable to the least objection.
I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee or a ragout.
