I regret that I’m not permitted to like this comment more than once.

Trump did say some pretty mean things about W during the primary debates. Was the only time he was truthful.

Stealing both presidentialelections. Very slimy politics and governing tactics all eight years. Pure hate and disdain for the LGBT community. Averting your eyes while terrorists attacked our nation and murdered thousands of us on our own soil. Lying the world into a senseless war that murdered even many more hundreds of thousands more and maimed many thousands. Fast-walking the nation and world straight into the pits of a deep recession, the likes not seen in nearly a century.

No, you had nothing to do with this, did you, George?

W may have been a lot of things, but racist was not one of them.

I was gonna say… I am surprisingly not concerned at this proposition…

True, true.
But let’s not allay any measure of blame for the 58M dumbasses that did elect him in 2004.

I’d go further and say that Trump is the natural next step from W.

It showed being coherent or able to perform the duties of the office are not needed in a nominee.

Trump just moves us all closer to Idiocracy and at a much faster pace than predicted.

Its like Moore’s law applied to ignorance.

All that said, i do have 2 positive things to say about W.

  1. He was fairly reasonable regarding immigrants and took great steps to not hold all muslims responsible for the actions of a few.

  2. He has been really quiet since leaving office. He has mot ttashed Obama from the sideline.

I was thinking the exact same thing as I read your post. Get outta my brain!!!

Heh. And I’m worried that he won’t be the last.

Such a sentiment requires a level of introspection that GWB has proven, based on his presidency, to be completely incapable of.

I call bullshit on him actually saying this.

You can’t “break through” divisive strategies while promulgating fear and horror for years. Fear fractures and shatters, and shuts down cognitive functions; when prolonged it even changes brains. This, I think, vies for the most destructive aspect of a terribly destructive presidency. Maybe he was fine personally with his multi-race buddies (including his hand-holding Saudi’s who may well have been implicated in 9/11?), but what he did as President vastly overwhelmed any possible positives from that. That fear, I think, set up the nation’s psyche for the Tea Party and Trump, and stripped all our reason-based protections against the greed-driven corporate power structure.

And I don’t think he’s even remotely capable of comprehending his crimes against the U.S. and the world.

And Trump would be worse? I can’t get my mind around that; it runs screaming into the Void whenever I try…

Well if he’s correct, they sure went out with a doozie.

To be fair, the GOP stopped paying attention to their useful idiot the moment he left office.

A valid concern. In the last 6 POTUS elections,he is the only Repub to break 50% and even then he only got 50.7% in 2004. Since then,McCain,Romney and now Trump have totally ignored the strategy that GWB used to win in 2004.

Funny, not a single former GOP President, nor former presidential nominee will be in Cleveland.

Seems they all agree Trump losing betters their chances of another Repub president in the future.

I will continue to be nervous Trump could become president until Bill Kristol declarativly says Trump will win. Then i can rest assured it wont happen.

Not completely…

W’s 2004 win was largely based on trumped up fear of terrorism.

Last nights RNC showed at least tjat they still think this is helpful.

Considering that "The Village Idiot"came alarmingly close to being the last President EVER (And he GOT AWAY WITH IT!) That’s quite a statement from a vacuous, empty headed moron whose buttons were being pushed by his Vice-President.
