Paging Mr. Frum - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Wasn’t Cheney the last Republican president? George can try to skate on that one.

dubya’s dream was to become baseball commissioner. It wasn’t until George Schultz SOS in Reagan administration (who’d encouraged RR to run) encouraged the boy that he began even thinking about it. He never really wanted it, and it showed. Cuttin’ brush on the faux ranch, just being moved from one speech to the next by his neocon handlers, peevish if he didn’t get to bed by 9 p.m., and in general spent his time asleep at the wheel. Or on his bicycle. Or the Segway which he fell off of.

@valgalky23 I used to see a bumper sticker around town: georgebush: homeschooled by dick cheney.

@azjude I doubt dubya was worried when Nixon gave us “law and order” speeches which trumpet has now adopted. That’s when the ongoing hate we see began.

I guess Irony is totally lost on him.

He has a lot to worry about. He might very well be the last Republican President. The Republican party is circling the toilet drain. There are just not enough old white guys to win nationally. Trump aside the elected people leading the party feel safe in their gerrymandered districts. They just don’t feel the need to expand their base.

Trump: I am glad the guy who gave us 9/11 and the worst recession in our history thinks otherwise.

In 2001, 3000 people were incinerated just trying to go to work one Tuesday morning. Half of the American people are now convinced Benghazi is far worse. Benghazi was where four people who knew they were in harms way were killed by a mob inspired by a couple days of violence over a movie that was offensive to Muslims. If you’ve ever seen any of the movie, it was also extremely offensive to anyone who ever majored in film making. The last Republican president may still kill us all based on his mistakes, yet lots of folks are ready for more because Hillary can’t be trusted. Why? For the same reason six year olds believe in Santa Claus, because they’ve been told that by sincere looking people all their lives. I can forgive the six year old. I can’t forgive nihilistic idiots who would vote for Trump, and by the way I can’t forgive Bernie either, or those who would vote Green. Had to get that off my chest.

He worries. The rest of the world rejoices.

It occurs to me that the gerrymandered Republicans are going to wander the halls of government like zombies for years to come.

Toles was thinking along the same lines George:

Come on W, take some credit. You put all the nails in the coffin. Trump only is hammering in the last one. And it’s the one that Sarah Palin missed.

He is worried history will lay the destruction of the party on his shoulders, he shouldn’t. The is plenty of blame for Cheney, McConnell Ryan Boehner et al

Then he shouldn’t have done such a shitty job of it.

Day two, and the promised Trumpaloosa has already devolved into Trump-a-loser. Give yourself credit Dubya, you earned it.

Yes, GWB is a decent person, and a person without a biased or bigoted bone in his body. I strongly disagreed with a lot of Bush’s policies, from taxes to to Iraq, but the one thing I thought would stand him in good stead over the years was being the first Republican president in the modern era who actually had black and hispanic freinds-- not just political colleagues, but freinds, personal and family. So, I thought he had broken through the disease of the party’s Southern Strategy, which was started by Goldwater, perfected by Nixon and practiced to one degree of another by every subsequent Republican presidential aspirant. I was totally wrong, and now we have a Republican Party which is standing on the edge of Fascism or worse.

Actually pretty astounding that the last two R presidents aren’t going to be at the convention or vote for the running R candidate. I’d be impressed if I didn’t hate what 43 did so much.
