Discussion: Report: Fox News Stands By Laura Ingraham As Advertisers Flee

Is Ingraham doing an impersonation of KellyAnne Conway in that photo?

Nah…she’s doing her best Eva Braun.

‘agenda-driven intimidation efforts’…FOX’s mission statement…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Uh OK.

At this point, the “kids” still have the power.

They need to keep up the pressure while they still have that power…it may not last.

I am so proud of them.

“We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts,” Jack Abernethy, co-president of Fox News,

So David Hogg will be filling in for Ingraham while she’s on her totally pre-approved vacay?

“We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored.”
Meaning Trump and Fox have 1st amendment rights only.

It’s cognitive dissonance—in extreme cases it can swell out your skull and make you look like that.

Again and again the disingenuous suggestion that negative consequences for being incredibly awful are the same as censorship. We need an eye-rolling emoji.

When advertisers starting running away from Orally, he also took a vacation, and he never came back from it. Same thing here. Everything’s fine, we support her, but when 50-60 advertisers have dropped out she too will be on permanent vacation.

I think they have moved well past being “kids” and must be considered as young adults carrying the torch of freedom for us now. Something along the lines of: …“insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,”… seems appropriate. All of which is completely against everything Fox stands for.

OT A great bit of writing on the Trump conundrum. Read this for your pleasure. Trust me.

We cannot let standards, be they ethical or legal, censor us. This is really about the freedom of the press to wage war against freedom of the press. At the end of the day, morality is nothing more than the intimidation of greed, and once you look at it that way, the greedy are being bullied, and so we demand an injunction against morality.

Just what I was coming here to post. Why people think the First Amendment offers some kind of refuge for those who dish it out but can’t take it, I’ll never understand.

Hope you don’t bump up against a paywall, but there’s this reporting on the strange connections iDJiT makes between Amazon, WaPo and Bezos, which baffles everyone at WaPo particularly its Exec. Editor, Marty Baron, who sums it up by saying “It’s made up.”

If Laura Ingraham is making the FOX News brand more toxic and advertisers are fleeing, I say, let Fox News to stand behind her on for as long as they want to .
Without interference, we should allow FOX News, rot from the inside out.
The fact is Laura Ingraham is unwittingly doing yeoman’s work on our county’s behalf.

The Fox Paradox: What happens when the irresistible force of advertising revenue meets the immovable object of perceived censorship?

“We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children.”

… a vacation that she can pay for because she is so willing to mock the circumstances surrounding the senseless slaughter of other children - and personally attack children who raise their voices about the situation.

FOX’s calculation is that this disgusting behavior - while incurring momentary flak in the mainstream - builds long term equity with the mouth-breathing minority hating cranky base that Fox needs to survive.
