I’m disappointed in Ben Jealous.

I´m pleased with Ben Jealous

Jealous can debate Bernie and Cornel West about how much President Obama sucks.

I’m jealous of Ben Jealous, for all the love he’s about to receive on this thread.

I done been jealous too.

A courageous act by a very courageous man. A very special man.

It’s almost as if black lives DO matter to Bernie, and the spin suggesting otherwise was a pile of political horseshit.

Seriously. Gonna be epic.

Yup. I was disappointed in him when he joined in with Vilsack and this Adminstration to throw Shirley Sherrod under the bus. Now, I’ve head that he and Sherrod have since “made up”. Personally, I NEVER would have forgiven him for accepting the word of Breitbart scum over her.

EDIT TO ADD: I don’t really care if he’s endorsing Sanders and, as a matter of act, I would prefer that he do so. Getting Jealous’ endorsement is probably on the same level as getting Cornel West. Good luck with that one guys! :unamused:

Or, of course, it could be like the thread on another Bernie endorsement story where folks were “disgusted” with TPM for even reporting on the endorsement :stuck_out_tongue:

But, yeah, I’m guessin’ there will be plenty of love on the thread along with some, ummm, less than loving stuff too.

That’s right! I couldn’t remember why I knew his name…

She heard nothing from the USDA until Monday, July 19, 2010, when she was put on administrative leave and then asked to resign. Released White House emails show the Obama administration was aware of the situation, but there was no evidence that the dismissal of Sherrod was under orders of the White House.

So, Jealous´ tweet that he was ¨appalled¨ by Sherrod´s words (well, not really, and he deserves blame for that) is throwing her ¨under the bus¨, but the WH letting her get fired is OK? Selective outrage, perhaps?

ETA: I missed your inclusion of the Admin. My apologies. @brooklyndweller

Lol Precisely what I was thinking. It’s really, really not the endorsement some would like to think it is.

Did you read this:

Brooklydweller: Yup. I was disappointed in him when he joined in with Vilsack and this Adminstration to throw Shirley Sherrod under the bus

There might have been a little selective reading going on there… I’m not sure why we can’t be outraged about both.

I’m not black, but since I stopped watching any of the MSNBC talkies(it’s been about 3 years now) I rarely hear anything about the NAACP anymore. No clue who the current “head” of the NAACP is.

This endorsement matters mostly (not entirely) to White people. It looks very good to them and if you go over to DailyKos right now, you’ll see fist pumping from all kinds of Sanders supporters. For older Black people, well, let’s just say that it’s not quite the “get” you’d think it is. For younger Black people, it might be something. That is, if they can even remember what the NAACP does…

Believe me, I didn’t cut the Obama Administration ANY slack when I heard about that fiasco. I blamed them as much then as I do now.

What do they do now besides have a convention each year?
