Well, yes, a few indictments, trials and imprisonments would probably be more effective than sending in Apache gunships and Bradleys to show them the downside of pointing guns at federal officials. The less satisfying thing is usually the right one in any situation involving loudmouthed assholes with guns.

It is about time that the government took some action. Can you imagine the outcry from Tea Party members if this group were black or Latino. They would be branded as terrorists. But since Bundy is white, he is a “patriot”.
The man is a free loader and the actions of his militia are intimidation not self-defense.
Throw his deadbeat ass in jail.

I still say the IRS should also be looking into who is paying this group and if they are paying for Bundy too. They should be looking to see if taxes are being paid on all those payments these militia people and Bundy are getting. There is something rotten about this group guarding Bundy. Is this their only job, don’t they have real jobs to go to or is this their real job??? I am glad the FBI is going to actually put someone in prison for pointing guns at federal workers.

If they were more aware of the real world, they’d have foreseen this was the next round. A knock on the door, some cops with some questions. No confrontations, no drama. Just one fantasy-prone man-child militia boy slowly realizing, as they put him in the back seat, that he’s in a lot of real-world trouble.

I think I can point the FBI to some of the pictures of them point guns at Federal officials all over the internet. Not exactly a difficult job.

On a recent episode of Lock Up there was a Latino woman in jail for owing $19,000 in traffic fines. Bundy owes $1 million – but hey he’s white, a man, and conservative, so it’s okay.
