The Manchurian Candidate writ large. The evidence that Trump owes his victory to Russian influence continues to grow.

Illegitimate occupant.

Dolly Trevino Rump, the Trump campaign’s chairwoman for Broward County. Rump did not respond to the Daily Beast’s inquiries.

Seriously? Dolly Trevino Rump? Dolly T. Rump? D. T. Rump?

I figured that had to be fake, but apparently not. http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/broward/article146563894.html

Who himself splashed (as does diarrhea) onto the national political scene almost exclusively by accusing the sitting president of same.

Irony ain’t dead, she just bought a fabulous new Escalade.

It’s going to get really interesting when Facebook starts fighting back tooth-and-nail against anything that will undercut its ad revenues.

I guess we’ll finally find out what Mark “Mr. Nice Guy” Zuckerberg is really like. /s

There’s been a recurring meme regarding Zuckerberg traveling the side roads and byways of the Midwest for the last few months. Ohio, Indiana and in Iowa, actually going to people’s houses and eating dinner with them, going to the cafes and other midwest meeting places where he talks with the regular folks.

I’ve seen several stories about this over the summer, and they all included at least one section where they raise the notion of Zuckerberg prepping for a 2020 or 2024 presidential run.

I’m of a mind that he some serious questions he needs to answer if he wants to be taken seriously… but hey, I thought the same thing about the current occupant.

Not enough Renuzit® on earth for that boneless brown trout Putin dumped on America.

True but I think there is something far more important than the irony of the situation. It’s pretty clear psychologically that Trump’s accusations against others, which he is driven to spew by his own pathological insecurities, are a roadmap of his own misdeeds. Anyone wanting to to estimate the full breadth of Trump’s crimes need only compile the full breadth of his publicly stated accusations against others.

All the news people see about him on facebook will be positive, what’s the problem?

Meanwhile, the russia-facebook connection raises the question of whether you have to know you’re colluding with russia to be in trouble. If you just happen not to check out where that really useful help and all those extra volunteers are coming from…

It’s not unique to Trump, unfortunately: it’s something Karl Rove was famous for (perhaps learned at Atwater’s knee): attack the “enemy’s” strength (which is often your own weakness).

The most prominent example I can think of at the moment is Bush vs Kerry in 2004. For all his flaws as a candidate, John Kerry was a decorated war hero who served in Vietnam while GW Bush was doing National Guard duty as the scion of a wealthy and politically powerful father. What to do?

We all know what they did – and not just the Swift-Boaters, either. One of the ugliest images I can remember from that campaign is all those smirking Republicans wearing “Purple Heart Bandaids” at the RNC convention.

Fox News was taken over by the Russians, too? Was this before or after Comrade O’Reilly and Ailes began grabbing pussy?

None of those chicken hawks ever cared for the troops. Never.
