Joe Wilson will call this action “rude.”

I think they should not go. It should be really clear that Netanyahu was invited by the people only on one side of the aisle.

Wow, I didn’t think they’d do it and I originally thought it might be a bit petulant, but after all this and Boehner and Bibi’s apparent inability to admit that this may have been a bad idea, Democrats should do it.

Exactly. None of the Dems should be attending.

It’s a very rare occasion that I ever have to write my congressman because he almost always does the right thing. However, I’m going to make it clear to Rep. Yarmuth that he should support the president and the office of the presidency by refusing to attend Bibi’s speech. This president has been disrespected too many times to mention, and it’s time his fellow Democrats stood up against it. Plus, American foreign policy shouldn’t be manipulated by a foreign leader looking to get reelected.

I am so fucking sick and tired of Israel occupying so much of our foreign policy decisions, and sick and tired of any criticism of their actions being branded as “anti-Semitic.”

My idea of a good time would be for each of the Democrats to show up with a vuvuzela and an unruly service dog. Why settle for a kind of benign neglect, when you can have chaotic showmanship.

The speech is not being conducted in the best interests of the United States. In fact it’s being given as an affront to our President and his right to conduct foreign policy in the interests of the America people. It will be given by a foreigner in cahoots with the GOP with the purpose of insulting our President and the Constitutional concept of the Separation of Powers.

No self respecting American should attend it including Democrats in Congress.

This is clearly a partisan event designed to promote the interests of a foreign political party. All Democrats and American patriots should boycott this farce, so that they don’t give it the cover of bipartisanship or officialism.

A number of House Democrats have already drafted a letter urging Boehner to postpone the speech until after the Israeli elections…

Damn it! I clicked on this article thinking “Finally! Dems got that spine transplant!” only to see that they’ve “written an angry letter”. *sigh * too much to hope for, I guess.

Says the guy that’s just written an angry anonymous internet comment. Congrats!

Remember, if you are not acting out of Antisemitism it doesn’t matter if folks say you are. They are wrong, not you.

Over the past six-years, my right-wing grandfather has gone from ranting about the “Jew York Times” and how the Rothschilds are trying to destroy America and take away all his money, to ranting about how Democrats are the real anti-Semites because they don’t march in complete lockstep with the Netanyahu administration. Fun stuff. Fox News has done their job.

I think they will be there.
I really hope they would boycott this event but in the end I think the Democrats will show up.

We’ll see…
