Discussion for article #247668
Everything I know about Lewandowski tells me he’s a perfect fit for Donald Trump: Equal levels of class, equal levels of crass, fondness for rough stuff, sexual crudity, and on and on and on.
(Just wondering: When’s the last time anybody has seen Donald Trump in the company of anyone most people would regard as a decent human being?)
The way Rump talks about his own daughter, for crying out loud, I’d say he’s a good recruiter.
C Word = Trump
So… what’s the big deal?
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire…and this is building up rapidly into a bonfire. With a normal candidate, this guy is out now. With Trump, I’ll give him two weeks tops.
I’m sure the Koch’s will be glad to have him back.
Lewandowski clarified, “I never expressed a ‘wish’ to have sex with them, only the desire to have sex with them. I know how genies work.”
It sounds like he really captures the tRump ethos.
“Some in the press corps joke that if Lewandowski is calling after a certain hour, women are better off not answering,” the report read.
Lewandowski told BuzzFeed via email that its story was “factually inaccurate."
Lewandowski went on to say, “It is inaccurate to say that women are better off not answering.”
Are you serious?
If not what’s your point?
Just STFU and conduct a sting to catch him. Stop tipping your hands and do it. I want audio…and video if possible…or it’s never going to stick and too rife with plausible deniability that it won’t ever be taken seriously, no matter what this budding despot in a tea pot does.
Yes.
The “T” in Trump is for tacky, the “L” in Lewandowski is for lewd.
He can be perplexing but he’s harmless.
I’m an old school Democrat and I’m getting sick of the Trump pile on. You guys don’t realize how bad it’s making you look and it’s turning a lot of people toward Trump. No one is as bad as they way they’re all making him and his campaign out to be. You want Cruz to be President? Do you fell that Hillary is entitled to be President? The more you pile on Trump the better his chances become.
To help those who are not familiar with the dynamics of this kind of behavior, it may be useful to point out that Mr Lewandowski is perhaps genuinely puzzled as to what the fuss is about (as perhaps is “Darcy”).
My experience working with perpetrators of both domestic and sexual violence, almost regardless of the level of their violence, is that they are often oblivious to the true impact of their behavior upon their targets.
They are so focused on their own point of view and their desire to obtain their intended result that it never occurs to them that others might perceive their behavior differently than they do.
Fortunately this provides an avenue for positive intervention. When they are open enough to examine the difference between the intended results of their behavior and the actual results, they can often begin to be open to more socially acceptable methods of meeting whatever legitimate needs they were trying to address.
It’s ironic, but true, that sexually violent behavior is often more responsive to treatment than domestic violence, largely because the latter is so deeply rooted in male socialization, including belief systems such as the deep rooted sense of male entitlement, which prominent examples such as Mr Lewandowski and Mr. Trump so frequently evidence in their behaviors.
I agree that piling on is counterproductive (albeit tempting because of the illusion it gives of being effective), but truth-telling is essential.
Trump says that he would surround himself with the best people, like Carl Icahn. So far, it just appears that he would have bullies like himself.
You don’t much like to reply to people here do you?
The only people who might turn to Trump because of the bad publicity that he himself generates are people just like you.
Old school demodixiecrats like you who are too lazy to change their party affiliation to GOP. You probably have not voted for a Democrat since the Johnson administration.
If you find this disturbing then you’re going to have a really disturbing eight months in front of you.
I think in this case it’s a matter of bullies using whatever means is handy to “dominate” their ostensible opponents and keep them off balance. So for other men it’s belittlement, for women it’s sexually based insults and threatening behavior. For ethnic minorities it’s whatever offensive stereotype comes to mind.
At the rate things are going, getting to the end of the summer without some kind of major incident will be an interesting task for the Trump campaign. (Of course, during the primary season it’s not clear whether some kind of major incident would harm or help his delegate count.)
