These attacks do seem to be increasingly taking place shortly before elections.
Not every story is a set up calling for snappy punchline. Read the news from any outlet, itâs serious with injuries and death very likely by a terrorist. There was a similar attack by a driver plowing into people on a bridge in March.

And, as the wonderful Malcolm Nance points out, ISIS and similar groups put out calls to increase attacks during Ramadan. He explains that this is anathema to Muslims, but ISIS uses it as a time to ramp us attacks. Which by itself is enough to show that these terrorists are not true Muslims, but vicious cultists and power-monsters who corrupt rather than defend Islam.

It seems like these attacks are done to coincide with elections. Is it just to cause chaos so people will stay home and not vote? What is the purpose?

London has more cameras per block and street than almost anywhere on the planet. Think about what transpired. A van crossing the bridge revs up itâs speed. How does one defend against that? Closing the bridge? Stopping all traffic everywhere? You canât anticipate everything. And you canât arrest someone for what they âmightâ do but havenât done yet.

It would not matter to him if this had been done by a, anglo British house painter pissed at his wife ⌠he will still use the evil bogey man Muslim as his excuse. If there were some element of timing with incidents like this, and if those incidents were timed to coincide with elections, I would think that the aim would be to encourage reactionary votes in favor of candidates and parties that would be most likely to provide the best and most profitable (from the standpoint of e.g. recruitment) melodrama as opponents.
Imagine if guns were more readily available in the UK like they are in the US.
