Before the usual suspects show up to spout about more guns or concealed carry equals a safer populous, in 2011 there were thirty-eight (38) gun homicides in the UK. It’s a five year old statistic, but I can’t imagine it has increased much since then.
Other reports stated that the weapon used, according to eyewitnesses, was “something hand-made or from World War I.”
So there, the assailant didn’t have his choice of high-powered weapons from his local gun dealer . . .
Obviously Britain needs to be carpet bombed. It works for most problems. Does wonders for soap residue on shower walls I hear.
Islamic state has been advocating wanton lone wolf attacks against innocents in non-sunni countries. This attack appears to be consistent with what happened in Paris, San Bernadino, Orlando, Australia and elsewhere. This might also be related to the Brexit issue. Let us wait to find out.
BBC has just annouched Jo Cox, MP has passed away.
I’ve seen reports that the attacker shouted “Britain First” but that seems awfully convenient for trying to establish motive.
And they only shot one person, not 50.
The account of the killing is just sickening. This animal didn’t just assassinate Cox, he slaughtered her. The rage shown in that act, the overkill of it, points to a lot more than political anger. The fact that it was a woman, I think, played more than a small part in why she was murdered and the way she was murdered.
