Discussion: Report: At ‘Breitbart Embassy,’ House GOP And Bannon Reach Understanding

For the life of me, I can’t imagine why anybody who calls himself a Republican (Donnie Trump excluded, of course) would ever under any circumstances at any time trust anything that Steve Bannon says.

Well… if he promised I guess it’s all okay.

But get the pinky swear, while you’re at it guys.

First Bannon said he was committed to defeating establishment Republicans, now he is not. He also predicted that Trump would not serve out his full first term, and then said he would be re-elected in 2020 by a huge electoral/popular vote landslide. Is Bannon drunk…again?

The House GOP has proven itself to be a mass of mindless, spineless thugs, and the few who aren’t totally rotten (Ros-Lehtinen, Dent) are retiring. Bannon’s mission is nothing more than completing the quest to craft a perfect rubber stamp legislature for the Kochs, Mercers, and any other sadistic, anti-social billionaires.

Former White House chief strategist and current Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steve Bannon on Friday pledged to Republicans that he would not focus his political efforts on defeating establishment House Republicans, Politico reported.

Bannon did not pledge to hold off completely from attacking House Republicans.

That must have been quite reassuring for those Republicans.

Bannon is such a lush it would be more accurate to say that there is some blood left in his alcohol, rather than that there is alcohol in his blood.

What a cuck! That, or he’s lying…again.

Why I consider Bannon a big threat:

Just days after Trump was sworn into office, chief White House strategist Steve Bannon told The New York Times, “You’re the opposition party. Not the Democratic Party . . . . The media’s the opposition party.”

“If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents—on Capitol Hill, in the media and in corporate America.”

“Nothing is grander, nothing is more glorious, nothing is more satisfying, nothing is sweeter, nothing is more validating, nothing is better for America than the death of the mainstream media’s political power,” John Nolte crowed in the Daily Wire the day after the election.

“The mainstream media is your enemy.” And Infowars captured the sentiment by featuring an editorial cartoon depicting right-wing media figures as asteroids hurtling toward earth where news-network dinosaurs await their “extinction.”

Of course, he gave no reassurances not defeating establishment Senate Republicans."

Let the circular firing squad continue. Bring on the popcorn.

Bannon’s wing of the Republican Party — funded generously in various capacities by billionaire Robert Mercer and his daughter Rebekah — celebrated announcements from Sens. Bob Corker (R-TN) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) in recent months that they would not seek re-election.

If Bannon is in fact pulling his punches a bit, I wonder how much that has to do with Mercer’s announcements yesterday. Could the money be drying up? Has the Mercer’s attention been diverted by Mueller?

Breitbart (and Bannon) now considers itself so important that it has an embassy in Washington. It’s its own country. WTF is going on?
I do know I want no part of that country.

That could be one way of interpreting. Another is that Mueller could be gunning for him and thus he needs allies in DC

Hmm makes you wonder what happened here. Aren’t his supporters going to be miffed especially since he was running around the country saying how bad the establishment was?

Yeah, I think it reflects 1) how much they do not view themselves as part of the US, and 2) how much they like Russia.

I see Donald calls some of the people Bannon may have been targeting “great people”. I take it that is a notch above the torch waving “fine people”?

How can we tell the difference between a “miffed” supporter and a batshit crazy, 2A, xenophobic, white dude that’s just a little P.O.ed?
