Discussion: Report: Another NFL Player Arrested For Domestic Violence

Discussion for article #227804

I never liked violent sports in the first place but the brain damage and seeming overflow of violence off the field isn’t helping. Were football to cease to exist, we would replace it with something equally violent.

Sean Hannity will excuse it by demonstrating how his father hit his mother.

I would say that this is a “wave” of violence and criminality happening in the NFL if not for the sad fact that this has been happening all along. With the Ray Rice video it no longer became possible for the NFL (with the help of the media) to dismiss or try to sweep these things under the rug. Personally, I’m glad that all these events that previously went either un or under reported are now in the spotlight. I truly hope it becomes a clarion call for the NFL to get serious about addressing these long overdue issues…

Wow, these guys just don’t learn or either they simply are too stupid to realize what is abuse. I have to wonder if any of the teams would be able to field a team were they to be legitimate and their players were arrested when they committed it.

Ok how hard is this?

When you give a violent sociopathic street thug 25 million dollars, you don’t suddenly get a model citizen. What you have is a violent sociopathic street thug with 25 million dollars.

The NFL thinks that these lads can just turn off the anti social criminal behavior after the game. Bullshit.

Most NFL players are actually college educated, and are not “thugs”, but thanks for using the racist tropes sparky.

College educated? Surely you’re not serious. Read some of their ‘tweets’. Or Facebook scribbling’s.

Oy.

Are NFL players ever tested for drug/steroid use?

I wonder if any of these players who say they were beaten as children, ever stop to think if they hadn’t been, would they be in the trouble they are now? Would jails and prison’s be more than 80% black? Some of them speak as though being beaten as children is something to be proud of…just wondering.

Yes they are.

This guy apparently knew if it’s true that he prevented someone from dialing 911.

College attended, maybe. Educated, not so much. (at least on average)
