Somehow, money works.

How clear does the message have to be for voters to show up? Maybe if the GOP keeps the house and senate this time.

And that’s the thing: money can certainly help a campaign but, in the end, if the voters won’t vote for you, it doesn’t really matter. It’s not the money that votes, it’s the constituents that vote. Or not.

[Sheldon] Adelson had a potent ally in his quest: the new president of the United States. Following the business breakfast, Abe had a meeting with Trump before boarding Air Force One for a weekend at Mar-a-Lago. The two heads of state dined with Patriots owner Bob Kraft and golfed at Trump National Jupiter Golf Club with the South African golfer Ernie Els. During a meeting at Mar-a-Lago that weekend, Trump raised Adelson’s casino bid to Abe, according to two people briefed on the meeting. The Japanese side was surprised.
“It was totally brought up out of the blue,” according to one of the people briefed on the exchange. “They were a little incredulous that he would be so brazen.” After Trump told Abe he should strongly consider Las Vegas Sands for a license, “Abe didn’t really respond, and said thank you for the information,” this person said.

At Adelson’s school in Vegas, the children say the pledge of allegiance to the Israeli flag every morning.

Good thing it’s not a Mexican flag or the GOTPers would go nuts.

Boy, that sure is a lot of speech Adelson gets to give…

One day SCOTUS will rule a dollar is a citizen and every one gets a vote.

Just remember, the bulk of this money is spent on television commercials. Unfortunately, a lot of stupid people believe anything they see on TV. Just remember, GOTV next month, it’s crucial. No excuses, GO VOTE.

Might want to give some money to Ford. Of the many dumb things about Donald’s tariffs, is the belief that manufacturers can change where they make stuff overnight.

This is really true … I don’t get cable and I’m no millenial. Neither do either of my millenial kids.

Adelson gets to influence our elections and foreign policy yet he has little regard for us, the country that allowed him to prosper.

“In a talk to an Israeli group in July, 2010, Adelson said he wished he had served in the Israeli Army rather the U.S. military–and that he hoped his young son will come back to Israel and “be a sniper for the IDF,” a reference to the Israel Defense Forces.

“I am not Israeli. The uniform that I wore in the military, unfortunately, was not an Israeli uniform. It was an American uniform, although my wife was in the IDF and one of my daughters was in the IDF … our two little boys, one of whom will be bar mitzvahed tomorrow, hopefully he’ll come back– his hobby is shooting – and he’ll come back and be a sniper for the IDF,” Adelson said at the event.

“All we care about is being good Zionists, being good citizens of Israel, because even though I am not Israeli born, Israel is in my heart,” he said toward the end of his talk.”

I watch a lot of television, but skip the commercials. Thanks, Tivo! And yes, I’m sure some of the money is spent on other forms of advertising, but my thought is that most of it goes to television/radio commercials. Hence, “free speech.” Thanks, Chief Roberts! All the more reason to vote for more Democrats.
