“The Loudermilk’s immediately acknowledged God’s hand in protecting them from serious injury, and they would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as they recover,” the spokeswoman said.

Guess they didn’t realize that God was driving the car that rear-ended them…

Fucking Republican assholes. I feel more sorry for ants getting crushed than these pricks.

Their car flipped multiple times and they only received minor injuries and were quickly released? I would say both of their guardian angels must have been in the back seat. I have no use for Republicans, but I’m glad no one was seriously hurt or killed.

If there actually were a “god”, then people like this wouldn’t exist.

Let me help you here, TPM: NOBODY. FUCKING. CARES.

Save it for when you get to report dead GOPers to us.

“The Loudermilk’s immediately acknowledged God’s hand in protecting them from serious injury, and they would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as they recover,”

Yeah, fuck the regulations that required airbags and seatbelts and crash-test fitness determinations and all that. It was the fucking invisible sky magician!!! Fuck these people.

"The Loudermilk’s immediately acknowledged God’s hand in protecting them from serious injury,” the spokeswoman said.

Why didn’t they recognize, instead, that God was sending them a warning about his displeasure with them?

Loudermilk happens to be an anti vaxxer yet he sits on the Science, Space and technology committee. He’s a fierce opponent of the ACA so lets hope his medical care after the accident was satisfactory.
But this “hand of God” thing. Isn’t that the Hastert rule?

It appears they’re doing well, all things considered, for which I’m glad.

I do hope, however, they take the time to consider how, through no fault of their own, they’ve suffered serious injuries which require expensive healthcare. And this could have happened to another less fortunate soul lacking insurance.

So G-d works at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, crafting mandatory seat-belt, airbag, crumple-zone, speed-limit, and crash-safety standards?

Those poor Loudermilks are innocent victims of yet another socialist, Big Government, nanny state scheme!

They do it all the time. Bachman was Chairman or at least on of the fucking Intelligence Committee. Barton, the guy who apologized to BP for Obama being so mean to them over destroying the Gulf of Mexico was Chairman of the Energy Committee. The fucking imbecile who read the Bible into the Congressional record to disprove climate change was the Chairman of the Environmental Subcommittee. The list is endless. They’d have Hastert running a fucking daycare if they could.

G-d has a lot of regulations, wouldn’t you know? But no worries. Republicans are well on their way in repealing them. They’ve already done away with most of the Ten Commandments from their personal lives.

No. She was driving the vehicle behind Loudermilk.

So by this logic, God singled out Steve Scalise? Please.

He talks a lot about federal spending however his district is one of top recipients in federal largess. I’m sure the hospital that is caring for him and his wife benefit greatly from federal grants.

https://thinkprogress.org/10-things-newt-gingrich-doesnt-want-you-to-know-about-him-1749cf5ec741/amp/

"WHILE DEMONIZING GOVERNMENT LARGESS, GINGRICH POURED MORE FEDERAL MONEY INTO HIS DISTRICT THAN ALMOST ANY OTHER: The politics of the mid-1990’s was marked by the right’s attempt to decimate the social safety net. As Gingrich waged his campaign to destroy unemployment insurance and aid for needy families, he made his own district the recipient of huge amounts of federal aid. Under Gingrich, his district in Cobb County, GA received more “federal subsidies than any suburban county in the country, with two exceptions: Arlington Virginia, effectively part of the Federal Government, and Brevard County Florida, the home of the Kennedy Space Center.”

I can’t stand this guy, or the entire so-called Freedom Caucus. Total newspeak there.

But I do idly wonder if he’s related to the Louvin Brothers (real family name was Loudermilk).

Is John D., writer of Tobacco Road Part of that family? If so, considering how often that song has been recorded, the royalties have made them 1%ers, most of whom are wingers.
