”There is circumstantial evidence of collusion. There is direct evidence, I think, of deception.”

And that’s just the description of Nunes…

The Congressman demonstrates playing a steady, and firm hand. While for the moment Nunes seems a little bit willing to play investigator, I anticipate that will fade back away pretty quickly.

Congressman, a disquieted country turns its eyes to you.

…and it’s not even 100 days in …

But here’s a guy who is ecstatic that Trump was elected…

Looks like Schiff is laying out some markers because, he too, lacks faith in Nunes’ abilities to conduct a fair and impartial investigation.

The fact that Rethugliklans have to be dragged screaming and kicking to investigate a direct, sustained and on-going threat to our democracy says about all one needs to know about these “patriots.”

2018 can’t come soon enough.

There’s an interesting backstory on the billboard, beginning with the fact that it’s double-sided. And it’s located on Grand Ave., which is a very, very busy arterial.

Predictably, the artist who created it is now receiving death threats. The Trump Effect™ you know.

Thanks for that, I like that Unity design a lot.

I see a clash from the Reps from California. Hope Schiff comes out on top. Nunes is evading his responsibility to conduct a real investigation on the Russian influence on the election and the Trump team connections to it. No surprises here.

The dollar-sign swastika are wonderful. I’m surprised nobody thought of that before.

Sad to say, regardless on Rep. Schiff’s well laid markers and concerns, I do not think for one second Rep. Nunes will allow a thorough credible investigation of the Trump-Russia relationship. He will do the bare minimum for window dressing and give Trump a pass.
Maybe a lot of pressure from David Nunes’ California constituents might change his stubborn, teabagging mind.

Arizona is good at signs – not necessarily intentionally:

This is exactly what the Dems need- someone out front in every news cycle shaming the Rs and cutting away at their credibility by reiterating their primary loyalty is covering up Dump’s treason to get their agenda passed.

Go, Rep. Schiff, go!

OK, I’ve seen House Committee members conducting what they believe to be useful examination of witnesses, and it’s almost always a shitshow with lots of posturing and grandstanding and redundancy and missed forensic opportunities. What I’m looking for, from the Ds involved is:

  1. Co-ordination of questioning so that no question is asked twice.

  2. Teamwork on follow-up questions.

  3. Use of documents wherever possible.

  4. Above all, a clear focus. In relation to each witness the questions to be methodically investigated are
    (1) what was the extent and substance of contacts with Russia;
    (2) what was the purpose of such contacts;
    (3) who was aware of and who authorized or disauthorized the contacts before they occurred;
    (4) who became aware of and who ratified or repudiated the contacts after they occurred;
    (5) what actions or omissions followed from the contacts.

This is all seems basic, but experience shows that nothing is basic in the House.

“Schiff said that he did not want to “prejudge” the committee’s conclusions as to whether there is any basis for allegations of collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia.”

Too bad his Republican counterpart reached his conclusion before the investigation began. The swamp is murkier than ever.
