I’m not ashamed that my mind wandered immediately to Byron York and Maureen Dowd.

Life must be much easier when you have no moral compass.

So basically he’s saying life is complicated, relationships have rough patches, and if we could all stop overreacting to the brutal murder of dissident journalists, then maybe the healing could begin.

Hey asshole Khashoggi paid taxes here in the US, owned property here in the US, and most importantly his children are US citizens. Are you ready to tell all US citizens that if a foreign country kills you over seas, and not in a war zone, we don’t care?

Who wrote this talking point about 20 journalists in Mexico? Did that come from RNC? Did that come from the White House? Clearly this guy is too stupid to have pulled that out his ass. He got it from someone? Who?

Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, argued Tuesday for maintaining a close diplomatic relationship with Saudi Arabia, despite the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, because “journalists disappear all over the country.”

“‘Journalists disappear all over the country. Twenty journalists have been killed in Mexico. You don’t think it’s happened in Turkey and China?’"

While that may be true, the key difference is that the head of the Saudi state is implicated directly in Khashoggi’s murder.

I am not sure that the phrase,”neither moral or immoral.” Applies in this situation. There has to be something immoral about a person dismissing the premeditated murder of a political opponent on the soil of a foreign country by saying, in effect, “Hay, shit happens.”

Rationalization: In psychology and logic, rationalization or rationalisation (also known as making excuses) is a defense mechanism in which controversial behaviors or feelings are justified and explained in a seemingly rational or logical manner to avoid the true explanation, and are made consciously tolerable – or even admirable and superior – by plausible means. It is also an informal fallacy of reasoning.

Well for starters there have been 6 journalists killed in Mexico this year, which according to NPR puts Mexico behind Iraq and Syria-two countries that have wars going on within their borders. There were 48 journalists killed in 2017 world wide.
