I wonder if Renacci has looked at all kinds of pieces outside of the specific job Trump was purportedly elected to come on board for. If the GOP Congress took that investigation seriously his term in office would have wrapped up very quickly and Mueller could simply refer his findings out to multiple prosecutors around the country and close up shop.

Interesting: this talking point, that the Mueller investigation had strayed from its original remit, was repeated by Chris Matthews on his show last night. He said that just as the Whitewater investigation had convened to investigate a real estate deal but went far afield to a sex scandal, the Mueller investigation has also strayed from Russian âcollusionâ to a private sexual matter. I commented to my husband at the time that it was clear he had been talking to the Repub friends who provide him talking points. Itâs nice to see it corroborated.
To be clear, I doubt Chris knows heâs repeating talking points. I think heâs so gullible and naive that he thinks theyâre just his buddies who make smart points. Whatâs that called again? A dupe? A useful idiot?
