Caveat: I only watched about 15 minutes of the debate (the first 10, and some other scattered moments afterwards). What I saw in those first ten was a panel of interviewers interviewing the relatives of the owner of a company they all work for. They, very politely and congenially, asked them questions thatāyesādid allow them to state their positions on how they would handle situation A, or what policy they would employ. And then when they spouted outright bullshit or objectively false or illogical statements (wages are too high, the minimum wage always increases unemployment) they said, āthank youā and moved on.

I couldnāt agree more. They shouldāve given each candidate five extra seconds at the end of each statement so they could say āIām , and I approve this messageā.

It is so BIZARRE to me how the real pundits and smart people dissect the RNC debates! āSuch and such candidate had a good night!ā āSo and so candidate hit it out of the parkā! What?? ALL of the GOP candidates are laughable! They are competing in a beauty pageant where the contestants lack of truth, facts, reason, and seriousness are considered assets! In any real universe the media should be commenting on their silliness, inaccuracies, and unviability once real voters (or journalists) dissects the jibber jabber passing for content.
I watched bits and pieces of the āeventā tearing my hair out when insane and insulting ideologies were vaunted as āimpressiveā. Not ONE of these clowns could be vetted by anyone other than the insane clown posse passing for national journalism. Do they really think we are ALL as dumb as the alleged audience for this crapola? Astounding!

This is a good review of how little the republicans actually said during the debate that actually answered the question, made sense or showed how their plans would be better than the democratic plans.

Like I said about the last debate, the only questions they want posed are āhow great is America/Reagan/republicans?ā or āhow evil is Obama/Democratsā? They refuse to be called out on BS and they want no enforcement of rules. They got the ādebateā they wanted. Weāll see if it was what the voters wanted.
