Basically a twofold problem here. One is that the word “legitimate” has two fairly distinct meanings, one being kosher according to strict application of the law or the rules, and the other being deserved and justified. Lewis is using the latter and Priebus the former. The other part of the problem is that Priebus is a sniveling, crawling, lying little cowardly parasite and a prime example of his party’s complete moral and intellectual decay.
OMG! How can we even listen to this? Full distortion of the truth every step of the way. Trump is the Birther-in-Chief who claimed our President was born in Kenya and NOBODY in the GOP pushed back. NOBODY.
